Highly-anticipated survival horror game The Callisto Protocol unveiled a brand-new trailer as part of PlayStation's State of Play show yesterday, and it's been getting a lot of positive attention including from the Head of Xbox himself.
Speaking after the event, Xbox's Phil Spencer responded to the founder and CEO of developer Striking Distance Studios, congratulating him on the debut of the trailer and stating that the "game looks great":
Despite The Callisto Protocol being given its release date during a PlayStation show, the game is also coming to Xbox at launch on December 2nd, 2022, but the ability to pre-order it is currently exclusive for PlayStation owners.
If you're wondering why it looks so similar to Dead Space, that's because Striking Distance Studios CEO Glen Schofield was also the co-creator of Dead Space, so we've definitely got some high expectations for this one.

I’m not sold on this one yet. I’ll need to see more.
I mean, until EA decided to revive Dead Space, he had a pretty safe bet that this was going to be the spiritual successor.
That said, that still might be the case.
Looks absolutely incredible, like the Dead Space next gen game we never got. I can't wait to preorder this one, Glen Schofield you're the best
It certainly does capture that Dead Space vibe and that has me very interested in playing this. I'm still more interested in the Dead Space remake coming a month later but I'd like to give this a try too...
Good way to gain some news reports that remind people it’s coming to Xbox too. Xbox really need to start making promotion deals again. There’s no denying it works regardless of a games actual exclusivity. Hell, I’m on these gaming sites pretty damn often and up till a few weeks back I thought that ‘chaos’ game by square was Sony exclusive. Totally passed me that it was out day and date on Xbox too.
That’s a bad game. But if I’m going out of my way to look up it things like this are exclusive to PlayStation or not then you can imagine what the casuals believe when these games just say PlayStation on them whilst on buses, tv, in cinema trailers ect.
Thankfully we’re no longer back in the ps3 era where PlayStation would also get exclusive content too…like they did with dead space.
