Xbox has revealed its plans for Pride Month today, which include a brand-new Xbox Design Lab controller.
This controller design was actually produced in limited batches last year, but due to popular feedback, it's now been incorporated into Xbox Design Lab and will be available to purchase permanently as of Thursday, June 9th.
"We heard you, and we’re expanding availability by making this year’s Pride controller customizable through Xbox Design Lab, specifically underscoring the uniqueness of the LGBTQIA+ experience."
Aside from this, there are loads of Pride Month celebrations going on at Xbox all month, including the full version of Tell Me Why being given away for free, an exclusive Forza rainbow livery for the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster being given to Forza Horizon and Motorsport players, a new Halo Infinite emblem and nameplate, and much more.
Plus, Microsoft is donating a total of $170,000 to LGBTQIA+ nonprofits for the 2022 Pride campaign.
"In celebrating Pride this year, we invite LGBTQIA+ communities and allies to unite in their support for justice and equality, and to amplify voices that combat discrimination around the globe. Team Xbox shares our support for the LGBTQIA+ communities within gaming, while raising awareness of current issues impacting these communities."

That controller is FIRE! Don't need another but kinda wish I did.
Well... that's something.
I saw it described as a ‘hate crime’ and The Gays™ don’t seem to be liking it at all. I quite like it though, it’s incredibly loud and maximalist but I guess that fits!
Definitely picking up that controller. Love all the perks they do for games. Got a bunch of banners last year in gears. Anyway to show my solidarity with my friends and family.
YES!!! I’m definitively getting this controller!!!
@nessisonett no group is a monoculture. I personally love it.
I really wanted the Pride T shirt they released last year, I seem to remember it being quite pricey to ship though
Actually its £16.99 with £3.95 postage. I think I'm going to take a punt on it
Anybody in the UK order clothes/t shirts from the gear shop in the past? What's the fit like?
I normally wear triple XL and I like t shirts to fit loose.
It’s much too pretty and adorbs to ever use.
It looks like something that would be on display at Merry-Go-Round or Gadzooks.
It is a nice design, but until they add elite controllers to the design labs I won't be getting one.
Not having the four mappable paddles on the bottom is a deal breaker.
Glad to see Xbox supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I’m not a fan of the controller but I know it was created with good intentions.
When did I & A get added to the acronym lol
day one buy for me.
@ralphdibny I got the Halo pride shirt last year. Their clothes are normal fit -> slightly big in my experience. High quality stuff though. I've been very pleased.
That controller is gorgeous and I want it. Pride stuff has gotten so stylish.
@swedetrap oh brilliant, thanks for the reply! I think I'll go ahead and take a punt on the XXXL then. Though I see you are in the States, I think they use regional manufacturers so I'm not sure if the sizing might be different over here in the UK.
I've ordered a Triple XL from the UK's WWE store but they literally just ship over stock from the states and the US XXXL is much much much larger than a UK Triple XL 😅. I still love my Cactus Jack t shirt but it's a bit like wearing a bed sheet!
On the other hand, manufacturers over here can vary wildly in their sizing. A nice XXXL fits loosely on me but I've had a couple that are a bit tight in the past
@ralphdibny There is a UK Gear shop too now. I ordered the new pride ones from there a few months ago. I'm a M and ordered M and they are a little tight.
@lookupmore oh cheers for the heads up, I've yet to order them so maybe I'll go for a 4XL, not sure.
I don't like ordering from new websites. I've had a look through their FAQs and it says if you do a return then you only get refunded the cost of the item and not delivery which is amazing really because that's against the law in the UK. Cancelled orders must be refunded in full including delivery according to the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Kinda puts me off ordering from there.
I wish they would just use the generic rainbow flag.
"Wait until you see what we're working on." THIS what was you were "working on" that needed working time? That over-one-night design? Man I would love to have a job at labs...
@ralphdibny I didn’t get any tshirts but the Xbox jerseys I got from them last year fit pretty snug.
@AdamCorela cheers for the heads up, may go for the size up then! Thanks!
@AdamCorela @lookupmore @swedetrap
Hi peeps, just wanted to let you know that I ordered the Triple XL in the end and it arrived today.
It fits well I think, not sure how long it will last because it might shrink in the wash but it's comfortably loose straight out of the parcel!
Thanks again for your input! Much appreciated!
