We thought we were all done with new Xbox Game Pass additions until Far Cry 5 hits on July 1, but nope, Xbox had other ideas. The team has brought House Flipper to the service today, June 30th, as a complete surprise to us all!
So, here's a little bit about today's addition, along with a short gameplay trailer. Spoiler alert, it's about buying cheap houses and renovating them until they're all shiny and new.
House Flipper (Console, PC, Cloud)
House Flipper is a unique chance to become a one-man renovation crew. Buy, repair and remodel devastated houses. Give them a second life and sell them at a profit!
Will you be flippin' houses thanks to Xbox Game Pass? Let us know your thoughts on this surprise addition!

Usually these simulator games leave me cold... but there's just something about this, like powerwash simulator, that vibes with some sort of primal urge to make things good.
I don't understand it either! lol
Remember admiring let’s plays of this years ago on PC. Looks like a good laugh and something even the girlfriend may be interested in playing
@Kaloudz Homes Under the Hammer eat your heart out, just needs a cameo from Dion Dublin. Perhaps in DLC lol
I actually got the 1000gs on this a couple of years ago. It’s alright to begin with but man the painting really does become a chore… my fault for bingeing it though.
@K1LLEGAL "man the painting really does become a chore"
So pretty realistic then??
Considering the long list of real chores my house could use right now, I think playing this where my wife could see would be a ticket to trouble! So its a hard pass 😁
I really annoyed my wife when she found me playing the VR version, apprently there's also non VR versions of those tasks that need doing lol
Noooo!!!! I've got REAL DIY to finish and blame my xbox backlog for not doing it. The last thing I need is a DIY game!
Just started playing it and its strangely addictive and relaxing which isnt at all like what DIY / housework is like....
Cleaning isn't getting done because I am playing a game about cleaning.
Why do people want to spend money to simulate in a video game the very things they're playing video games to forget having to do in the first place?
I mean I quit Detroit: Become Human sometime shortly after "clean the table, wash the dishes, do the laundry." The only difference between the game and the real life is the abusive meth head not grabbing me in real life, which I guess makes doing laundry more interesting?
Now we have whole games that don't even bother with meth heads, or robot revolutions, it's just the chores. That's what you pay for....
I bought this on PS5 a few months ago on offer. It’s actually really good. Def give it a try.
@NEStalgia Because people like different things. There are swathes of people out there who do not understand why you would want to be a space marine shooting aliens in the face, or an Italian plumber jumping on turtle's heads.
You could extend your question to all media. Why do people watch tv shows about real life situations? Why do they read books about things that actually happen? Some people just enjoy being grounded in reality and do not need to escape to fantasy worlds to find something interesting.
That being said, I have no interest in this and would rather shoot said aliens in the face...
@Jey887 absolutely spot on
My wife loves this game.
Just loads it up, chills out, and does a party chat with her sister while playing.
Every game has an audience.
