Infinity Ward has brought its latest Modern Warfare game to Summer Game Fest 2022, via an extensive campaign demo. The stretch of gameplay shown takes place out on an oil rig of sorts, featuring your usual array of intense shootouts, door breaches and sneaky stealth kills.
It doesn't look like much of anything particularly new, but it sure looks like a Modern Warfare game. Expect Activision's latest bombastic shooter to hit Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on October 28th. Here's a brief developer rundown of this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 level:
Task Force 141 found intel that shows missiles hidden on board and have dispatched a team of Soap, Ghost, and Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas, along with Shadow Company, enter a ship full of well-armed AQ enemies to locate the controls for a missile bound for the US.

The 30th remake of cod.
Reminded me very much of both the Original Modern Warfare games. The first part (Oil Rig) was very reminiscent of a MW2 mission and the end was reminiscent of that iconic Ship level in MW.
The Lighting and certainly the ships Dynamic movement is definitely on another level but as I've moved on from CoD MP quite a few games ago, I can wait to blast through the Campaign(s) when MS acquires A/B and their back catalogue will be on Game Pass LOL
Call of Duty campaigns are the sort of thing where they might look good in these sort of videos, but I haven't found them that enjoyable to play, at least when it comes to most of the latest ones. Funny enough I did enjoy the Cold War campaign as it a bit different, and I remember Advanced Warfare being pretty good as well.
Rinse and Repeat....
Way too harsh on this. Animations looked much improved. The water effects looked great. The visuals on a whole impressed as much as any other game shown today. And the sound design easily eclipsed every game shown today. You really can’t fault the production that’s gone into what was shown of this.
Cod campaigns have always played solid. And been mindlessly over the top and enjoyable. I don’t go into an action movie complaining it’s not Zodiac or shawshank. This will deliver what it needs to and is expected to.
It’s just a shame it will have all the bs that comes with activision games. What I saw looked awesome fun. And I can’t wait till we’re shown these bombastic games and gamepass day 1 is tagged at the end of the trailers.
