It's been a while since we got an update on the status of Halo Infinite campaign network co-op.
With this in mind, the official Halo account has shared a brief message - noting how this mode will arrive "later this year", with flighting scheduled to begin (for Halo Insiders) next month in July.
As usual, to be part of the action, you'll need to make sure you're registered and your Insider profile is up to date.
"With #HaloInfinite campaign network co-op arriving later this year, we're planning to flight it to Halo Insiders in July. Register and make sure your Halo Insider profile is up to date for a chance to participate!"
Back in April, when 343 released a roadmap for Halo Infinite Season 2 - it was revealed the campaign network co-op was targeting a release for around "late August". Hopefully, "later this year" still translates to this same month.
Are you excited to be able to finally play this mode? Leave a comment down below.

Really sad that you have to be a beta tester to play co op 6 months after release 🙈 hopefully the same doesn't happen when the new gears comes out
@Would_you_kindly I'd sat MS would have learned from Infinites launch, but then I remembered 343 promised splitscreen would be standard again after halo 5.
I fully expect gears to have Co-op, Halo 5's splitscreen backlash motivated them to keep it in Gears 5.m, I'm sure the same is going on now.
Is everyone just suddenly sneaking the word ‘network’ in there? …or was co op always announced as ‘network co op’? And I just assumed it was getting couch co op?
343 is such a ***** developer that they cant even implement coop in any of the halo games they make
@Would_you_kindly The Coalition is actually a good developer, so they should actually have Gears 6 finished when it comes out.
@Bleachedsmiles Back in April it was announced that online co-op (network) was targeted for late August and local co-op (split screen) was targeted for some point during Season 3 (which starts November 8th).
Infinite is as much a punchline as Cyberpunk at this point. How any studio can target a core feature 6 months after a year late launch with a public beta is beyond me. Let alone a year for split screen.
Even Todd has to be laughing at 343 at this point.
I personally only care about split screen co-op, Halo without couch co-op is not Halo.
No local splitscreen multi-player for sessions around the living room with friends and family, and local co-op hasn't exactly been a high priority for 343, either. Never mind that many gamers prefer local play over online with a bunch of strangers for various reasons, or that previous games in the Halo franchise managed to include the ability despite inferior technology (and typically much smaller displays).
There's a very simple reason for this, of course: online functionality has been weaponized by the gaming industry to exploit gamers for every last possible penny after the original point-of-sale, and any time you're doing ANYTHING offline is time your experience can't be gated, controlled, and gouged for more $$$.
Just one of many examples that should clue you into the fact that these corporations are NOT our friends, and they'll destroy the hobby and the games we love if they think there's more profit to be gained in the bargain.
Looking forward to this dropping. I play all online coop stuff with my brother. We live in different countries and we both agreed to not play the campaign until coop released. Can't arrive soon enough!
