One of the weirdest announcements at the recent Xbox Games Showcase was that the Pelican Dropship from Halo was coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. In fact, the update has already arrived, and fans seem to be enjoying it so far!
Notably, a brief gameplay clip has been uploaded to the Halo Reddit page, with over 500 comments already added from fans of the new MSFS addition. The clip in question shows a player masterfully gliding through New York, with the iconic Halo theme blasting out as they go. Here are a few of the responses:
This looks like a real fun addition to MSFS all told, and it's great to see Xbox embrace Halo, even in silly ways like this. Seems to be going down well with the Halo community anyway!
If you fancy a go at this yourself, it's live now in Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X|S. All you need to do is load up the game, navigate to the in-game marketplace, and you'll locate the Pelican in there.
Will you be jumping into MS Flight Sim to ride the Pelican? Let us know down below!

-Sir...Finishing this flight.
To go from hover mode to glide mode you need to press a button in the cockpit in the cockpit cam. It's great fun to fly but I spent my first 10mins with the Pelican flying nowhere but skyward with no clue how to turn 😂
@pip_muzz same here lol, I just messed with every single button in the cock pit while slowly elevating.
@Korgon by far the best post in a while right there. Good job
It's certainly novel but I quickly switched back to the F-18 after watching Top Gun Maverick!
