Earlier this year, we were treated to the announcement of a brand-new F1 management game called F1 Manager 2022 from Frontier Developments (Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution), and now we've got a date and a trailer!
It's shaping up to be an ambitious management title, featuring excellent graphics largely reminiscent of EA and Codemasters' F1 series, and promising a "hyper-realistic simulation of an official F1 race presented in true-to-life broadcast quality".
Here's a bit of information about what you'll be doing in F1 Manager 2022:
Write a new chapter in a bold new era for Formula 1®. Choose your F1® team and guide them to glory throughout the official 2022 races by beginning your journey at the back of the grid or taking your place in pole position – in F1® Manager, the choice is yours. Your task is to impress the board by hitting your season targets and long-term goals, securing your team’s success for years to come.
F1 Manager 2022 will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on August 30th, 2022, and is now available for pre-order (with Smart Delivery support) on the Xbox Store for £40.49 / $49.49, with five days' worth of early access thrown in for anyone who grabs it ahead of launch in a digital format.
You'll find more details and screenshots below, and don't forget to check out the trailer above!

This looks absolutely amazing! Love F1, Love Frontier Developments. Count me in!
@pip_muzz @BBB Two very conflicting opinions on Frontier developments! I know nothing.
@BBB What did they do to "flush loyal customers down the drain?"
@pip_muzz Why do you love Frontier Developments?
Trailer said "Be the boss". Michael Masi cheat mode confirmed!
Do I have to be Christian Horner?
I don't want to be Christian Horner!
This is awesome, I love Frontier jurassic world games, I was waiting years for the F1 manager game
@themightyant Why do I love Frontier Developments. For me, they carry the old Sid Meier's torch of simulation game design. All the PC tycoon games of the 90's are alive and kicking with Frontier Developments games. Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, Jurassic World Evolution and now this F1 game. Historically their founder made Elite for the PC, a true gaming monument. They've also developed other small interesting games along the way, Lostwinds for Wii was a lovely little platformer, the Wallace and Gromit games in Xbox OG were good fun too.
Simply put, I've yet to play a game of theirs I didn't really, really enjoy.
@pip_muzz convincing argument, lots of gaming history there.
Lets hear what @BBB has to say to rebuff
@BBB This does look good but what happened with elite does concern me somewhat.
It wouldn't have been as bad if you could transfer your save as I would have considered transferring from Xbox to PC on Elite as I don't want to start again.
