Update (Fri 29th Apr, 2022): Right, here we go! Today's Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead builds include three new additions, two of which are firmware updates for controllers and the Xbox One Wireless Headset respectively.
The other is a brand-new feature that allows you to reveal details about secret achievements if you want to. This is available now on console (for Insiders), and will soon also be coming to the Xbox apps across PC, Android and iOS.
Full details are below, and expect the public rollout for these features in the coming weeks:
Achievements
Users can now choose to reveal details about secret achievements if they want to know more. Also, coming soon to the Xbox app for Android and iOS, the Xbox app for Windows PC, and Xbox Game Bar!
Controllers
A new version of the controller firmware is available for Alpha users starting today. It contains quality improvements and some bug fixes.
Xbox One Wireless Headset
A new version of firmware for the Xbox Wireless headset is available for Alpha users starting today. It contains quality improvements and some bug fixes. Also, in response to customer feedback we have adjusted the “High” mic monitoring setting to improve audio feedback of your voice while talking into the mic.
Original story (Thu 28th Apr, 2022): If you're part of the Xbox Insider program, you might want to keep an eye out over the next couple of days as Microsoft has apparently got some "cool stuff" in the works, as revealed by Xbox Insider Program Lead, Brad Rossetti.
Rossetti teased the "new features" as part of his latest update to Insider members yesterday:
We've only got a couple of days left in the week, so it seems these new features will be revealed very soon. Don't get your hopes up too much - it's not going to be a new dashboard or anything - but new features are always a bonus!
We'll update this article and as when we get more details from Brad and the rest of the Xbox Insider team.
What do you think we might see this week? Give us your predictions down in the comments below.

The only dmfearure that instantly jumps out it the while splitscteen online streaming from PS4. There's a bunch of games where the local MP is better than the online options
Maybe they'll fix the Xbox store to remember the store settings option of disabling video previews. The setting is remembered for about a week and then it reverts to being "on" for me.
Removed - unconstructive
Jesus they've finally done a meaningful update for the achievements, I really thought they had given up on ever working on it again.
Really happy with this. Playstation has had this since forever and when I first got my xbox last year I was super confused why I couldn’t reveal hidden achievements.
This is a fantastic feature, I remember playing through Tomb Raider 2013 and I got all the single player achievements except a secret achievement which after beating the game at 100% map completion, I noticed I would've had to start the game again from the beginning to earn it so I didn't bother.
Google is your friend.
They finally caught up. Fk me thats been a thing since PS4 over on Sony side. Press square to show hidden details
@Rural-Bandit you've spoken of this before and I'm still in agreement. The achievement side on xbox needs so much more work. For a company that pioneered it on consoles they certainly have been lacking for a while now.
I mean you can just press Y while viewing it and it auto searches the achievement in edge. The first link will almost always be to Trueachievements and it will tell you what the achievement is and how to get it.
What they really need to change is being able to view the achievements for any game in the FIRST drop down menu when you select a game with the menu button. Not just the game I'm currently playing, not buried 4-5 clicks deep in the game card. One click away, let me see them for any game, even games that aren't installed or owned, even if I'm just browsing on the store or game pass.
@Rural-Bandit or just a simple search function so I can find the game I want to look at. Any way to filter it would be great, maybe we could be able to sort it from most complete to least, so all those 5-10gs are at the bottom. Just some sort of basic functions that can filter or search it would go a long way.
Nice! Currently using TrueAchievements for this.
