The most recent game to have been added to Xbox Game Pass is EA's Lost in Random, which arrived on the Ultimate service as part of EA Play last Thursday, and as expected, it seems to be going down very well with XGP members.
Lost in Random was developed by indie studio Zoink, and sees you embark on a journey with Even and her companion Dicey to play the odds and break the curse of Random. Here's what some Xbox fans are saying about it so far:
"I played it a bit ago, it's like Alice: Madness Returns in the world of Nightmare Before Christmas. I loved it."
"I didn’t have many expectations for this game, it hadn’t created much buzz. But I played a few hours today, and I must say, it’s a great Game Pass addition. It has that nutty English fantasy feel, complete with doddery narrator, and a bizarro world filled with oddball characters.
It has a touch of Fable to it… or even The Phantom Tollbooth for those who watched that. The dice/card fighting system is… unusual… but entertaining. This is a niche game, for sure, but I’m very glad it exists."
Lost In Random is such a good game and I've literally never seen anyone speak of it. This is why Xbox Game Pass is amazing, I would have never bought the game and actually it's one of the best games I've played in a while."
We've also had very positive things to say about Lost in Random here at Pure Xbox, giving it a "Great" 8/10 rating in our review last year, stating at the time that it was "an underrated gem that has unfortunately slipped under the radar."
It's still not going to suit everyone's tastes (we've seen criticism from Xbox fans for it as well), but Lost in Random is certainly proving a welcome addition to Xbox Game Pass in general, and it's nice to see it getting a bigger audience.

Really good game, in my top 3 indie games of last year just behind the gunk and kena Bridge of spirits
I haven't played much at all but if this is what the remainder will be like I would wish they'd been given more of a budget. It all feels a bit sluggish, very interesting world they've built though. I'll be playing it mainly for the story.
It’s unique, has great art style and graphics. Worst combat in a game in a long time. The whole dice thing and board game nonsense. Each battle takes a commitment of time.
Speaking of gamepass..
..US members can grab 3months of gpu for $25.44 after taxes, with code XGPUEasterUS
It's one of those games i played for a while and i loved it but i stopped playing for some reason. Great game though, any Tim Burton fan would love it
@Luigisghost669 For me the battles went by really fast. I kept having cards that would give me more energy to refill my weapons.
I really need to finish this one up, it just keeps getting pushed aside. The art style is wonderful, but I think it's the story-telling angle that turns me off a bit. I'd rather just learn everything through conversations and gameplay. I don't need a narrator. Not a deal-breaker by any means, just a personal nitpick.
