Bethesda is still trickling out little bits of information about the highly-anticipated Starfield, and the latest is a video looking at one of the game's companion characters, VASCO, described as "Constellation’s expeditionary robot."
The video gives us an idea of what to expect from the "primarily peaceful" robot, including the fact that it does have "defensive capabilities" should the need arise, and we even get a chance to hear what it sounds like.
Here's a transcript of some of the key details about VASCO's background, as stated in the video:
"As an early model built by Lunar Robotics, VASCO was refurbished to meet the requirements of Constellation's mission. He's a utilitarian, heavy-industrial machine well-suited to the rigors of space travel.
VASCO's design is based on a standard Type-A bipedal chasse capable of traversing rough terrain, along with all survival gear and payload capacity needed for extended overland journeys."
Starfield arrives on Xbox Game Pass at launch this November, and hopefully we'll see some gameplay very soon.
What do you think of VASCO? Let us know down in the comments section below.

Looks pretty cool, do wonder about customization.
Got to say, I am currently vibing with this whole NASAPunk aesthetic they are doing, it helps separate from the other Sci-fi RPGs
@Rural-Bandit sudden Skyrim Kinect flashbacks yeah that would have been cool.
Looks great and something Bethesda would design.
Well I’m not flying him around unless he pays his way or the standard space Uber fee 😊
Xbox presentation when? Seriously, I need to see more. It seems like Bethesda is quietly confident in this one.
If I can't kill him and loot him right off the bat like Doc Mitchell in New Vegas, then this won't be the game for me!
Two questions: do you think there will be a delay? And when is this coming out on PS5?
