Tucked into the latest Game Pass announcement is an update on more Ubisoft titles being added to the service! Assassin's Creed Origins is the big one, and it's expected to launch on Game Pass within the next two months.
Then, Ubisoft will be upgrading For Honor's Game Pass version on console. The base game will become the 'Marching Fire Edition' in the coming months, and alongside that, For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will launch on PC Game Pass as well.
Date | Game | Platform |
April-June 2022 (TBD) | Assassin's Creed Origins | Console, PC, Cloud |
April-June 2022 (TBD) | For Honor: Marching Fire Edition | Console, PC, Cloud |
While we welcome more Ubisoft titles on Xbox Game Pass, it does come across a little odd. The company announced that its own subscription service, Ubisoft+, will be coming to Xbox sometime soon, and it won't be bundled in with Xbox Game Pass either.
We'll have to see how that one shakes out when Ubisoft gets around to launching its service. For now, another seven games are coming to Game Pass in the rest of April alone, so we certainly won't be short on games to play anytime soon!
Will you be playing Origins when it hits Game Pass? Excited for more Ubi stuff to come? Let us know below.

I loved AC Origins, is the best in the series for me (but I still have to try Valhalla).
I'm still hoping for a Series X upgraded version...
I wonder if the rumoured 60fps patch will coincide with Origins arriving on GP? 🤔
@Nightcrawler71 MAN i hope so: this is my favorite AC outside of Brotherhood: i would probably play it again if there was a patch. very underappreciated game.
This is really cool news and maybe a sign of things to come. I do love AC Origins and got the Platinum on PS4. I wouldn’t mind replaying the game on my Series X.
@Nightcrawler71 Sure hope so. I’ve been waiting for it to drop. I even bought the game in anticipation. $10 now lost!
Never played Origins but I have feeling it might just top Valhalla for me personally.
@Kooky_Daisuke Unlikely. But they did confirm Ubisoft+ for consoles are in the works.
AC Origins was the AC game that really brought me back to the franchise and I really enjoyed completing 'everything' possible on the Map. It was so enjoyable, I wanted to purchase and complete everything on both DLC expansion packs too. As a result, I don't think I'll bother when it comes to Game Pass - although it will be 'easier' to jump in if they add some 'reason' to play on Series X as I won't need to put the disc in...
For Honor never interested me at all and I have not bothered playing the version I got through Games with Gold so I won't bother with this when it comes to Game Pass
Both were 'successful' games for Ubisoft and now Game Pass members have the opportunity to 'try' them. Just because they are 'older' games, doesn't mean that they are not worth playing if you enjoy those games.
@armondo36 same. I loved it on PS4. I’d love to see a current gen patch
I can't claim to be an Assassin's Creed fan. I had never played the earlier games in the series.
And then I bought Odyssey on a whim (for like $15) and ended up sinking over 120 hours into it. I'm currently about 40 hours into Valhalla and enjoying it.
Would Origins feel like an inferior version of those two games since it was the 1st AC game to go this route? Or would Origins still be great to start even after completing Odyssey and Valhalla? It seems like Origins has some pretty passionate fans.
@GrizzledVeteran I'm kinda like you but started with Valhalla and then did Odyssey. Never loved the old ones, but valhalla and odyssey easily got over 140 hours sinked into them. Origins is a bit more like the older games i feel, i'm having trouble getting into that one, but that also might be since i basically played all 3 in a row. I still have it installed but im trying to play some different things now and see if i can get back in Origins later, but somehow it doesnt seem to click with me like Odyssey and Valhalla does.
I really believe by end of year Ubisoft will join game pass much like EA has.
@uptownsoul is the best one out of the three, tough. In my opinion.
@Lavalera
Thanks for the reply. Yeah the Greek islands of Odyssey and lush greenery of Valhalla really pull me in. Origins' setting just doesn't do it for me.
Maybe I'll try it after I've had some time away from the series (after I complete Valhalla).
@uptownsoul cool. I was wondering when and for how much you had gotten it for.
@GuyinPA75 if gamepass had all of Ubisoft , EA ,zenimax & Activision blizzard games on it there's no way the price wouldn't go up
@Would_you_kindly I mean even if it did go up... all of those games... that would be a lottt of games and value!
Maybe this is a sign that we will get that 60 FPS update soon? I might be reading a little into it, tbh.
Already have origin on my ps5, I though we're getting assassin creed odyssey since that game already discounted to $15 several times 😕
@Stoned_Patrol if you're interested in all those games then sure but if you aren't really interested in Activision or EA or whatevers games then you'd be paying more for something you don't want
Total poop, got it.
