Sega finally lifted the lid on the release date for Sonic Origins this week - confirming it would be arriving across multiple platforms including Xbox Series X|S this June.
In the lead-up to the release, Xbox's official page on the Microsoft website in Japan has now released some new screenshots of the blue blur's classic compilation. As a reminder, this release will include remasters of the following titles: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.
There'll also be additional goodies to keep veteran players and newcomers alike entertained. Anyway, enough with the talk - here are the lovely new screenshots featured on Xbox's Japanese website:

When I was a child I remember Sonic was too fast and difficult for me: I wasn't able to grasp the game. Now of course I'm too old and my reflexes are aging ๐
As a side note, my Parents didn't want I played videogames so I did it occasionally at my friend houses.
I had to start working for buying my first console.
Played through Sonic 2 last night, which is a fantastic game, but it scratched the Sonic itch for me to help me wait for this to 50% off
I like the way they approach to modernize the graphics but keeping it authentic and retroโฆ
How are people so hyped up for Sonic collection #7651?
Because it's the first time that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles is remade, the first time that the 1 & 2 remakes are available outside mobile, because these are some of the best games ever made and there are additional modes and content.
@Pigrotto Perhaps it's a good opportunity to keep your reflexes young ๐. There is almost infinite replayability in these games so you can train not just that but memory as well.
@Banjo- Thank you: I will keep in mind your advice ๐
@Pigrotto Iโve just started playing Sonic Mania properly after owning it for ages and with a little perseverance Iโm getting better at it than I was as a kid. Finally! 39 years old.
@BundyDanger I'm happy you are having fun and mastering the game. Anyway 45 here... ๐
@Banjo- I literally just bought Sonic 2 with 3D enhancements on 3DS a few days ago. And I just saw it come up as "recommended" in the Windows store for Xbox. And it's in plenty of collections
In B4 "durr hurr it's a remaster not a port becuz raisons". From what I am seeing you may be able to make that argument with Sonic 1, but not Sonic 2/3 and CD. And even then I would consider it more rom hack than remaster.
Hopefully I am wrong but this does look pricey for what it is. Why can't they include the Game Gear games or Knuckles Chaotic?
