Here we go again! That old trick where you can "move to New Zealand" in order to play games early has cropped up once again for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, with lots of people talking about it on social media right now.
This is because the game is seemingly launching midnight local time in New Zealand, which lines up as 5am PT, 8am ET and 1pm BST on the 4th, so some players could be getting access pretty much an entire day early.
If you want to know how to switch to New Zealand on Xbox, here's how you do it:
How To 'Move To New Zealand' For LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga On Xbox
- Sign in to your Xbox console.
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Settings > All Settings > System > Language & location.
- Select your new location from the Location list, and then select Restart now.
Before you do this, we can't stress enough that switching regions on Xbox is something to do at your own risk. It's something Xbox owners have been doing for a long time, but there's always the potential of getting punished for it.
Keep in mind that Microsoft also advises changing regions can potentially lock you out of changing to another one for a period of three months, although we've never seen any reports of this, so you should be OK.
Of course, there's also the option of waiting a bit longer for the release in your region, which might make more sense. It seems that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will launch at midnight in each timezone going into Tuesday, April 5th.
Are you going to be doing the New Zealand trick for LEGO Star Wars on Xbox? Let us know in the comments.

Why i am already playing as of Friday. Copy came early.
@BartoxTharglod it's nothing to do with playing early it depends on the company e.g Microsoft release gp games in the time they always do set to Thier timezone ,and u cant say it's cause of ppl playing early cause it's always been like that Microsoft even made a joke about it when cyberpunk was released ,they know and don't care it's still a sale for them
@barttoxTharglod mines is physical so no need to change region. Good game I must say
Or you can just preorder it from Game collection as my copy has literally just been posted through my door today. Happy days.
@BartoxTharglod no it's not it depends on the company ,if it was because of that all companies would release their own time ..feel free to go on the Xbox store and see it isn't ,and as for redeeming foreign codes Microsoft has tried to stop that by making sure that the region cant get money from cards issued from foreign cards ( feel free to Google it ) , and before u say I'm wrong I've been buying from other Xbox regions for 10 years , and IP can easy be beat via a VPN , not one company has said they don't like ppl playing Thier digital games early ,yes they have on physical when for example the games are leaked from pressing plants which is also theft and illegal or ppl are spoiling stories /big parts in games , some company's just release when it's time in Thier country as a whole ( digital ) ,if that was the case why not just ban physical games being played ? Cause they don't care
@BartoxTharglod wrong very very wrong ,you can be gifted from another region you just can't redeem unless you use a VPN ,please feel free to Reddit that then come back and apologize, and yes most are my games are gifted from another region so stop spreading bs unless you know ,if they company's wanted it stopped they could oh guess what ppl are playing Lego NOW
Yes some do put them at different times depending on Thier region not rvery company does ...hence my first post not all company's not so it's not because of that or else everyone would do it
Edit oh seen as though codes from other regions can't be redeemed why does the converting turkey gold to ultimate for approx £75 work ???? Hmmmmmmm all them.eho have done it are wrong yeh ????
Feel free to go
