"A wide variety of titles are included from iconic series such as Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, and the first home console port of Red Earth! And of course, all titles support online play! This is the perfect collection for both arcade veterans who remember the titles, and those who want to get into them for the first time!"
Original story (Mon 21st Feb, 2022): Capcom has revealed that 10 of its classic fighting games will form a new collection, hitting Xbox this summer! The Capcom Fighting Collection brings some of the company's more obscure titles to modern platforms, including some that have never been released outside of Japan.
The two previously Japanese exclusives are Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire. There's also another newcomer, as Capcom classic Red Earth makes its way over to home consoles for the very first time, having only previously released on arcade machines.
The rest of the collection is as follows: Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, and Hyper Street Fighter II.
What's especially cool with these re-releases, is that they're all being brought online. Capcom will be integrating online play to every single fighter in the collection. Oh, and for you online fighting fans, that includes rollback netcode for smooth online play!
Of course, offline play is also included for solo players, with every game except Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo also getting a new training mode.
There's quite a lot to go at then with the Capcom Fighting Collection, which launches on Xbox One on June 24th, 2022.
Will you be digging into this classic collection in the summer? Let us know in the comments.

Nice suprise to see Red Earth in the list.
With online and extras, it's a very nice package.
Absolutely cannot wait for this, going to play so much online Darkstalkers with my best friend.
What it not be better to add some of the dark stalker games to capcom arcade stadium?
I have always appreciated the art style of fighter games, though I lack the skill to appreciate the game play. I am jealous of those who are good at these.
It is also nice to see Capcom treating their legacy franchises with care and attention. This seems like a beautiful package, and I'll likely grab it, if not to simply appreciate the art. Plus, maybe Puzzle Fighter will be more my speed.
I use to play Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix on PS1 back in the day.
This makes me wish they ditched SF6 and just gave us a new Dark Stalkers game in 3D.
@Dijita You can play offline. Also, I've seen very bad players in SFV (PS4), the kind that just jump all the time and mash buttons. Everyone can play. My advice is start little by little instead of trying to be a pro while mashing buttons. If you do little things but you know what you're doing, that's satisfying enough.
@Banjo- rollback netcode is huge in this collection too!!!
@anoyonmus Exactly! Now bring SFV and SF6! 😁
@Banjo- yeah.
It would be great if SFV and SFVI both released on Xbox or at least SFVI on Xbox.
And since the Switch can't run SFVI, at least Capcom should port SFV to the console
Absolutely.
Funny that I just replied this to you on another thread:
"The weird thing is the name, Street Fighter 6 and not Street Fighter VI. Resident Evil 6's sequel is Resident Evil VII. Weird."
Street Fighter I, II, III, IV, V, 6.
Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, VII, VIII.
Why did they change both? Street Fighter 6 is not right LOL.
This and Mario Strikers should make for a fun summer
Is this available physical like on Switch? I want more physical Xbox copies. Phil Spencer is quoted saying physical is still the majority of sales Xbox makes, but I bet that's for 3rd party titles like COD, FIFA, MADDEN, and Assassin's Creed titles. Wish they gave the royal treatment to as many games as possible to be honest, even limited batch sizes.
I rented Darkstalkers so much. Really excited about this collection.
