Update: We've got one more game to add to the list - Secret Neighbor will also be leaving on April 30th.
Original story: Microsoft has revealed the next set of games that will be removed from Xbox Game Pass in the latter part of April, and unfortunately we've got some big departures on the way such as Outlast 2 and Streets of Rage 4.
Here's the full list of games currently set to leave in the latter part of April:
Date | Game | Platform |
April 30th | Cricket 19 | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 30th | Outlast 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 30th | Secret Neighbor | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 30th | Streets of Rage 4 | Console, PC, Cloud |
As always, Xbox Game Pass members can get a discount of (at least) 20% on these titles before they're removed.
If you haven't played Streets of Rage 4 yet and you're wondering what all the fuss is about, here's what we had to say about the game in our Pure Xbox review back in April 2020, giving it an "Excellent" 9/10 rating:
"Streets of Rage 4 walks that fine line between paying tribute to its predecessors and forging its own unique path and feels like an evolution and a revolution at the same time."

Damn, definitely one of the better games in the library being lost. SoR 4 is a belter, Ive got it on PS4 but was looking to replay it on Xbox for the achievements on a rainy day.
I guess I'll have to finally pay for Streets of Rage 4 at some point when it's on sale if I want to play it again. Like @themcnoisy said, it's one of the best games on Game Pass, and I half expected it to be on there forever at this point since it will have been on there for nearly two years exactly when it leaves.
I already played it and beat it once on Xbox, and I just recently bought it (along with the DLC) on PlayStation during a sale a couple of months ago, so it's not likely I will end up actually buying it on Xbox since I'll just replay it on my PS5 for trophies when I want to replay it. Still, it'd be well worth paying to keep it whenever it goes on sale again if I was an Xbox-only gamer.
I’m buying SoR4 before it leaves then. That game rules and I still like to play it.
Sad to see SoR4 leaving the service. Time to buy a copy.
Streets of Rage 4 is absolutely worth a playthrough, especially with a couple friends.
My friend bought me SOR4 on Steam when it launched. He was bored during the early pandemic, lol. That was a great gift and it took me a while to reciprocate properly.
The following year he got us Dark Alliance (also a day one XGP release) on Steam, and we both got frustrated with how sucky it was. Unfortunately we both played too much to return it. What a waste of his money. I bought him It Takes Two and we played it before it launched on GP, so that more than made up for DA.
Damn SoR4 is leaving, looks like I will be snagging that soon.
I did think SOR4 would leave soon, it has been on the service for a long time. I've also within the last month purchased it physically on Switch. It plays just as well and really suits handheld play. A great game, anyone who's not played it, now's the time before it leaves..
Streets of Rage 4 is dope! But 1 think it's missing that really sucks... Roo! The hidden character, the boxing Kangaroo! From the OG games
Guess I'm buying SOR4 then
Already got street of rage 4 on ps4/ps5, but I'm playing it on xbox now since it's my main console. I guess I'll get it on switch when it's discounted.
I've bought it long ago, physical format, for my little Switch.
A shame it has to go from gamepass, thought.
@Buramo Epic! Not gonna buy the DLC right before the game leaves game pass, but awesome to know!
