The latest batch of Xbox Game Pass titles has arrived! Microsoft has today unveiled another seven games coming to the service over the next week, including a massive addition in the form of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy!
Here's what's coming to Xbox Game Pass over the next week-or-so:
Date | Game | Platform |
March 1st | FAR: Changing Tides | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 1st | Microsoft Flight Simulator | Cloud |
March 3rd | Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII | Console, PC |
March 10th | Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 10th | Lawn Mowing Simulator | Xbox One |
March 10th | Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 10th | Young Souls | Console, PC, Cloud |
In addition, four games will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass library on March 15th, and they're all fairly big titles including the likes of Nier: Automata and The Surge 2, with discounts available for all of them until they're removed.
We already know of a few more games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in March 2022 as well, including the likes of Shredders and Crusader Kings 3 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. It should be a good month!

Strong recommend for GOTG
Guardians was probably my game of the year. Recommend to check out. Not super long at roughly 15 or 16 hours and a rare linear game in todays AAA releases
Hell yeah for Guardians, now the only 2021 game I want on gamepass is Life is Strange True Colors and we're done, great job Xbox
Gamepass coming in clutch again
cant believe it! i was waiting for a price drop for guardios of the galaxy... i almost bought it full price a week ago. Amazing news !!!
@FraserG Why do you all link to the games on your site when there is hardly any info on them?
Sometimes there is an affiliate link to purchase, but they are rarely reviewed or commented on.
Do you think this is something you would be interested in opening up to the community? At least on a 1-10 point scale with radio buttons?
Guardians of the galaxy saves march then, also wish square would just remaster the final fantasy 13 series or atleast release an HD trilogy
Guardians of the Galaxy is great, those who haven’t tried should take advantage of it, I really enjoyed it.
I am not enjoying GOG and now I have buyer's remorse now that it's coming to Gamepass. Another lesson to wait.
Playing through Elden Ring at the moment, but then Guardians of the Galaxy comes on Game Pass mid March, and Crusaders 3 on Game Pass again at the end of March. I also tried AC Valhalla on Free Play days which was good but I just haven't got the time for all these great games.
Young Souls is supposed to be fantastic. It was a highly rated Stadia exclusive. Another great Day zone addition!
@Stnkygrngo We use them to provide a quick snapshot of what the game's about, along with a few screenshots.
We are looking into making some improvements to game pages in the future though, so your feedback is appreciated!
@FraserG Right on man! I wasn't knocking it, sometimes there is great stuff there. I know you run a small ship and everyone is everything, but you have a great community here and this has become my place for games, sister sites included.
The toxic stuff you see on other games sites isn't here so much and the community tends to moderate those pretty well. I am positive we could help you all with those game links if they were opened up (in a controlled setting of course...no screenshots, predetermined rating options, only comments) in a manner that helps buyers and the writers.
Honestly the bet site(s) on the internet about gaming right now. The interactions and honest, passionate writing remind me of the N64.com days before it was IGN and such.
March is shaping up to be bumper month.
Far Changing Tides, Shredders, Weird West and now Guardians of the Galaxy. That's £100 saved this month so far alone. Very very pleased.
Great start to this month. Also worth pointing out that Flight Simulator will finally be available to play on Xbox One now through Cloud Gaming. Will definitely be checking it out!
@UltimateOtaku91 they don’t really need to though. The Trilogy plays extremely well on Series X and looks better than ever.
Dang. GoTG is a strong game to bring to GamePass. I almost feel like I should wait and not buy any games new at this point.
@Stnkygrngo Appreciate it, thank you! 👍
MUCH better this month👏👏
Ahh poopoo, bought GotG in the Jan sale and still haven't played it!
Thanks again for the Platform breakout, still no Xbox, still getting Gamepass on PC. Looking forward to playing GotG, can't say I'm too crushed over missing out on Lawn Mower Simulator.
Another huge win for those willing to wait. GOTG was on my list to play and now I will. Kentucky Route Zero is also a more niche banger.
Honestly a lot has been said about Xbox Game Studios seeming lack of many first party titles in the first half of the year, but if they keep putting out quality third party games on Game Pass like in Jan and March there's very little to worry about. Happy gaming everyone.
I'm super stoked to see GOTG coming, I'll definitely give that a go!
Bought GotG back in the November Black Friday deals but haven't got round to starting it having spent my time playing mostly Game Pass games that kept me wanting to reach their conclusion throughout.
At least if its on Game Pass, I won't need the disc in the machine to play which makes things a bit easier...
After last month everyone was already complaining and now we have quite a Banger
P.s: I was actually looking at physical copies of gotg but could not fork it at 40€ as in the back of my mind I was seeing this coming to GP sooner or later this year
Great month! Wanted to play Guardians since it came out, and already set FAR: Changing Tides set to download soon as its out. Cloud version of Flight Simulator is a bonus too, won't take up ~100gb on my hard drive any more... also KZR will be good, I'm about halfway through a Switch playthrough so might just start again on Xbox.
All of this is assuming I can tear myself away from Elden Ring, of course.
@UltimateOtaku91 FFXIII is already in HD...
Guardians of the Galaxy! Nice surprise! I will definitely check out FAR as well, looks amazing.
What another stellar start to the the Month! I was excited about Far lone sails, but the surprise of Guardians of the Galaxy and Kentucky Route Zero is amazing!
@Kopite I just got it from a rental company. Absolutely brilliant game. First one in a long time I haven't got bored after playing for an hour.
Nice. Interested to try out GotG as I found the gameplay of Avengers got old pretty fast despite enjoying the story.
Glad to see Flight Sim is coming to Cloud as well. For the wordplay alone. It's a shame I won't have a strong Wifi signal when I fly later in the year, or I could race my own plane on my phone
@Phantom_Anima So many incredible games to play right now, everyone's backlogs are going to be huge this year!
Often feel like GP, as good as it is, is a little over rated to the point I was probably going to not maintain my subscription. Then boom! GOTG comes in and reiterates why I subscribe to GP and why I'll never buy a game on the Xbox ever again!!
Already own and completed GOTG, so nothing of interest for me.
I highly recommended people check it out though. Absolutely superb and highly underrated game that sort of got lost in the busy period last year.
Also hilarious how MS again come at Square Enix with the cheque book for a Game Pass deal, yet we're still waiting on FF7 Remake!
@fabisputza007 thats funny i did the same thing was waiting for price drop and almost bought it last week but got elden ring instead
@DreamlandGem I still have 2020 games in my backlog will never get through it all!
Kentucky Route Zero! Yiessss, yiessss.
KRZ been on the 'shlist some time now. That's good gettin'!
Glad I resisted envy on buying Guardians of the galaxy.
You can almost guarantee when Square Enix says a game doesn't meet expectations it comes to Game Pass shortly afterwards and their expectations seem absurdly high.
@Medic_Alert Certainly is!
@Stnkygrngo I second everything you said, man. This is the first game-related website that I feel comfortable enough to actually say stuff. This community is just a good corner on the Internet. Keep it up, guys!
@OldgamerDave @FraserG @Stnkygrngo I agree completely. The community seems a lot tighter than any I’ve been a part of in the past, and even when people whine or complain (myself included), it’s actually a discourse, not a battle. I visit the site (and Pushsquare and NintendoLife) every day. Its the only set of websites I go to so frequently, and it’s not just the articles, but the community. PureXbox and the sister sites are something special.
@somnambulance Yup. Discussing opinions and disagreeing can bring up some cool debates,; but, attacking people personally, or simply being nasty is just plain stupid.
Take IGN comment section, for instance: I've seen people starting a discussion about a game/film, and, very quickly, things escalate and then, almost randomly, weirdos start arguing about faith, race, gender...you name it. To make things worse, because those topics break the site's rules, people do it in a (not very smart) veiled way.
So, again: we've got ourselves something nice going on here. (***and also, foreigners like myself get to practice their English, as a bonus!)
@somnambulance I think this site has the best community of the three sister sites. I find Push Square to have some really annoying fanboys who are so aggressive. I go there for stories. Not the somewhat toxic community. I have both a PS5 and an Xbox Series X. And while I play my Xbox more, I still like my PS5. I just can’t stand fanboys who can’t just be gamers and not put down others just because of the console they use.
Gotg is good times. Hope everyone enjoys it.
Now that I have Elden Ring all I want for the rest of the year is Crusader Kings 3. Maybe Stalker.
And a way to play Warhammer 3 without buying a PC
@awp69 I agree with you there. On this site, I don’t feel I’d be judged regardless of which console is my favorite. I feel like most everyone here just wants gaming to be at its best and isn’t seeking that console war mentality. I think those running this site should be proud of the atmosphere they’ve created here. It’s a true oasis in the sometimes toxic landscape of online gaming websites. No hazmat suit needed!
And, also, without them pushing the Forgotten City so much around E3 time last year, I might have missed the game, which, as it stands, is my wife’s favorite game that I’ve played with her, and was a true contender for GotY for me last year (if it weren’t for Metroid Dread, that is). I feel like PureXbox covers some games that are just to the side of the mainstream and that’s a wonderful thing.
People seem to have missed the bigger news than GotG.... xbox one users can now play Flight Simulator!
And this is why I have a no buy policy unless it's a PS5 or Switch exclusive.
Fired up FAR: Changing Tides yesterday and liking what I'm playing so far, even though I'm not really a fan of the Limbo-like physics puzzles.
Then started Telling Lies and wow... got me hooked for three hours in a row. Amazing recent addition to Game Pass!
Flight Sim??? Lawnmower Sim???? These have been on Game Pass for months!!
