We've got some huge new details on upcoming plans from Ubisoft courtesy of Tom Henderson at Xfire, who's advised that "a big games showcase event has been in the works for some time", stating that "a total of 20 games are lined up and ready for some form of an announcement in the near future."
The games he's listed include plenty of titles we already knew about, including Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin's Creed Infinity, Roller Champions, Splinter Cell, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and much more. These all have varying possible release windows (some many years away), but they have the potential of making at least some kind of appearance at the reported showcase event soon.
The particularly interesting part of this article relates to the previously unannounced games that are mentioned. We're apparently getting an Immortals Fenyx Rising 2, with the game currently in pre-production stage, a new 2.5D Prince of Persia game is seemingly in the works and "takes inspiration from Ori", and The Crew 3 is said to have "been in development for some time" and could potentially be announced later in 2022.
The smaller-style Assassin's Creed game that was mentioned earlier this year is also apparently still in the works (known as 'Rift') and was originally intended as DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but will now be a standalone game.
Lots to chew on there, then! In regards to the showcase itself, Henderson advises that it appears to have been delayed internally for now due to "recent world events", so we may have to wait a little longer until we get an official announcement.
Excited for any of these games? Let us know down in the comments section below.

New Immortals is very exciting! I haven't finished the first one yet but I played it for maybe 10 hours and it's so good, can't wait to delve back into it. Would love to see them expand upon the world more in the sequel so there's more exploration.
@LtSarge Yeah, I love it! Total surprise, it wasn't even really on my radar before it came out.
@LtSarge same boat got to a certain point and totally just kinda forgot about that game even though it was very good in the 12 hours i got in the game.
@Blessed_Koz I stopped playing because I just wanted to try it out when I bought it on Switch. Open world games are rare on that system so I was curious to see how it ran and then it hooked me for ten hours lol. Didn't want to continue playing because I wanted to be in the right mood for it, but it's definitely a game right up my alley. I just love Ubisoft open worlds like Assassin's Creed and Immortals felt very similar to Odyssey in that regard.
Oh boy, Immortals Fenyx Rising 2! Bring it on. I had pretty low expectations for the first game but ended up totally loving it.
Prince of Persia x Ori sounds wonderful.
Ubi will not have my attention until I hear Child of Light 2 gets announced!
Fenyx Rising was good ,but got bored towards the end. Over stayed it's welcome.
Assassins creed infinity?…oh boy
My expectations are that none of them will be good enough for me to care.
Considering Ubisoft makes my favorite games... this is very exciting news for me!
@Rural-Bandit Idk which is the worst publisher. Them or EA (since AB is not a thing anymore).
At least EA has games like It Takes Two and Knockout city, but Ubisoft just doesn't do anything original or aren't the best at open world games (since they make everything open world for the sake of it).
Sony, Bethesda and now Fromsoftware beat them in almost every category when it comes to that genre. Like how do you lose to Sucker Punch? You've been making AC forever? These guys do their first attempt and beat them
They're the chocolate bars that you can't eat no more because the taste diminishes after eating a bunch.
@Rural-Bandit Yeah. That's what I meant. Horizon and Ghost are like what Ubisoft should aim for.
Would love The Division 3. Like yesterday.
Edit**** to also express hope for new Ghost Recon.
Some thins on the list:
Skull and Bones, which was supposed to be releasing in 2018, production cost like 150 million bucks, so no wonder they didn't cancel this, now coming in 2023....
Beyond good and evil 2, in development hell for the longest time.... announced in 2017 I think....
Roller.... whatever... not interested
Prince of persia .. remake of a great game...
.... Idk...
I'm interested in ac infinity, immortals 2, the avatar game and if it ever comes out beyond good and evil 2. I actually love the large open style games (always been a mmorpg player so am used to them), so looking forward to way ac infinity will be sounds like a mmorpg type with expansions on it. Immortal fenyx rising was on of my favorite games in 2020. So I can't wait to see a sequel to that
@LtSarge One of the most underrated games ever. Love that game so much. completed it and all 3 DLC's which are great if you get a chance to finish the story.
no more rayman it seems
would like a rayman collection so i can replay rayman 1 and 2 so i dont have to dig out the saturn and dreamcast to play them
maybe one day
I really enjoyed playing immortals, it was a surprise hit and had me and my wife hooked.
However, I bought the DLC packs and wish I hadn't of bothered.
A few things were introduced, but the DLC lost the charm of the story that kept me entertained through the game and seemed lost for meaningful new ideas.
Immortals 2 will need to show a lot more care and feel for what made the first game great to win back my trust after the DLC.
I have hopes it will recapture the spirit, but I wont be diving in until I'm sure
Fenyx was my 2021 GOTY, so I'd be super-hyped for a sequel!
@Tintin The first 2 DLC's were great. The first one had some good humor, but mostly was an expansion on the puzzle dungeons to have some super challenging ones that really required mastering all the skills. It was more of an "advanced puzzle/dungeon pack, but totally worth it, IMO, if you liked the gameplay, and had some great character moments, too.
The second one maybe wasn't "new" but I enjoyed the kind of short take on an alternate story with very likable characters.
The third one was a waste. Creative and bold, but really not very good, even though a lot of work must have gone into it.
ubisoft dev here. Dont expect POP any time soon. Their original release was pushed to their inexperienced studio in india to save money, they naturally messed it up with its ugly visuals and poor performance. Now it's being rebooted from the ground up. That decision was only made in November 2021.
Skull and Bones, I dont think you even want to play that. We've been flip flopping that design for like 7 years now, trying to polish a turd. Started as a multiplayer only game, now it's some mutant first person survival game where you need to constantly monitor resources like water, food and even buy ammo. Thankfully you'll have all the microtransactions available to skip that grind. You can t polish a turd but ubisoft keeps trying anyway
