Sony's MLB The Show 22 is arriving on Xbox Game Pass at launch for the second year in a row on Tuesday, April 5th, but if you were hoping to take advantage of the game's early access period as part of the Deluxe and MVP versions, you might be glad to know there's an exclusive 'Early Access' offer for Game Pass members.
It's not exactly cheap at £41.74 / $49.99, but you do get access to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game from this Friday, April 1st (keep in mind they're both "free" with Game Pass from April 5th), along with a 2 Gold Choice Pack, 10 Show Packs, 1 Ballplayer Pack, Double Daily login rewards, and 10k Stubs.
"For Xbox Game Pass subscribers interested in playing MLB The Show 22 during Early Access, this is for you. Purchasers of the MLB The Show 22 - Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle will get access to MLB The Show 22 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on April 1, 2022 – four days early – as well as additional items.
Please note - if you are not an Xbox Game Pass Subscriber, you will not get the four days of Early Access from this Bundle. This bundle does not grant any entitlements to MLB The Show 22. If you are not an Xbox Game Pass Subscriber, it is not recommended that you purchase this product."
There is one major drawback with this deal, which is that you still only get access to the game while it's included with Xbox Game Pass, but if it's anything like MLB The Show 21, it'll hopefully stick around until the next version comes out.
This is the second time we've seen an exclusive Xbox Game Pass upgrade deal, with the first one being a Premium Add-Ons Bundle for Forza Horizon 5 that proved extremely popular at launch. This one's admittedly not as enticing, but it's still nice to see Microsoft providing these sorts of deals for Game Pass members.

So want to make sure I understood the article? You can pay an extra $50 for something you can play for with your game pass subscription?
$65 great deal!
@GuyinPA75 You're basically just paying for the early access and the Diamond Dynasty benefits, yeah.
Saw that yesterday and was like “Hell no!!!”
I’ll assume when Forza Horizon 5 finally gets delisted they will dump it for 5 smackers like they did w Forza 7…but a yearly release you can continue your progress on I doubt.
With that said, it’s 4 days Gamepass players…your call, but I’d heed the advice as stated if you’re GP subscriber or not.
I still just want to know how much microsoft is paying for this title. Has to be astronomical amount
Wtf…would anyone be so eager to play it to pay almost full price and not owning it?
