This week's selection of Xbox deals went live on Tuesday, and after perusing through the batch a bit more, we've come across a number of good games that have been discounted by a whopping 90% or even 95% for the next few days!
Let's start with the big one, XCOM 2. The 95% discount for this game brings its price down from £44.99 / $59.99 to just £2.24 / $2.99, so it's basically the cost of a cup of coffee! The War of the Chosen expansion is also on sale for XCOM 2 at 90% off if you're interested. Just be aware that the game will be shutting down its multiplayer and challenge mode services on PC soon, so the same will presumably apply to Xbox in the near future.
- XCOM 2 - 95% off
- XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - 90% off
Elsewhere, a few other notable games are 90% off this week. EA's Anthem is back on sale for £5.99 / $5.99 as part of the EA Publisher Sale, as is The Sims 4 for £3.49 / $3.99 (the Deluxe Party Edition is also available), while the Spotlight Sale includes 2015 racing game RIDE for just £1.59 / $3.99. Finally, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Deluxe Edition is reduced down to £6.59 / $8.59.

There are a couple other games available at 90% off as well (which we've listed below), along with many others discounted by 80% and above. Don't forget that plenty of backwards compatibility games are heavily reduced as part of this week's sales too, so hopefully there's something to entice you in the vast selection this week.

Eh I don't know, nothing to really write home about for me. Great looking out though!
Well, there's good games... and there's Anthem 😂
@Leuke I just looked up Beast Quest... 33% score on Metacritic. Oof.
Glad people are finding this useful! Maybe we'll make it a more permanent weekly thing in the future. 👍
I didn’t even know Anthem’s servers were still up. Honestly, I liked the gameplay. It’s just the story was a mess. A shame because it could have been great.
Anyone have any thoughts on Darksiders 3? D2 is a favorite of mine and I’ve been on the fence about 3, but this is a great price.
@FraserG yes please always good to get a heads up on deals
@FraserG yes, please! Trawling the store's starting to feel like Steam and Netflix. These guides can save a lot of digging!
But what about XCOM1?!
Tempted by Dragon Age but it is on Game Pass already...
I remember being blown away by one of the sales videos for Anthem. And then it arrived and was more than just a genre I don't care for. Glad I didn't preorder.
@BadTimeHaver I enjoyed it if you like the first 2 games you'll like this one because it's pretty much the same
Grabbed SWBattlefront2 to play with mates. Totally worth 7 quid!
@awp69
Yup I felt the same way about Anthem... I really wish they would have actually spent the time to fix the game and put some legit content in it.
@BadTimeHaver As @Would_you_kindly says it's mostly more of the same but on a smaller budget. However, they tried to change the combat system to a slower Dark Souls type of affair.
It did get patched with a classic combat mode so make sure to use that option if you want it to play like the older games.
To be honest , they have been discounting several games with 90% for the last couple of weeks now. A couple of weeks back I’ve bought MotoGP 21 and Strange Brigade for ridiculous prices.
It look like they include some real bangers every week now.
@Leuke anthem was actually fun for about 6 hours then the story was over and there was nothing else to do really but grind....that game could have been really good the flying and fighting part is good but to bad there was like no content and a ***** loot system....btw the story really made no sense but at least there was something to do....
I'm still very sad Anthem did not get second chance by EA. Really enjoyed what it was and believe tons of potential was there.
