To manually update your own system - you'll need to go settings > system and then update. The download is around 743MB. According to Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie, this latest update includes all sorts of fixes - with more information to be shared on Xbox Wire soon.

Nice. It's been only a slight annoyance, but good to see it's been addressed. Hopefully some of the other fixes will sort out the more major problems I've been having with my Series X that my XB1 didn't have.
The guide button lag i noticed when i got my series s. I never had the issue with my one s. Since day one of my series s (last Nov) i noticed not only a lag, but sometimes when i hit the button it would not even respond, super annoying. Really hope it's fixed 100%.
I originally thought my series s controller was busted.
Looking forward to trying this. It's a minor annoyance, but it's been there since day 1. Hopefully it's resolved and they can move onto some of the other UI issues. Especially flaky quick resume, it's so good when it works.
@Ashadelo I’ve also had the same issue with the ForzaSE controller & another Xbox series controller - both of which I returned. Luckily, the pads that came with my series S & X both have perfectly functioning guide buttons.
Please let us know if this update fixes the issue for you? - I really would love to know if this is a hardware/software issue..
This was such an annoying bug, it really was very laggy, it made the console feel less premium and slow. Much much improved now, it's instant!
(Only tried it on my Series X so far).
The commas have finally been added to you Gamerscore too! Lovely!
@gdog989 WOOOW!It fixed it 100%, no lag, no non-response, worked.
@Ashadelo kool! 😺 thanks for letting us know 👍 Enjoy your 🎮!
Great…now fix the Blu Ray player and the issues where sometimes you have to restart a Quick Resume game for auto save to work…looking at you Ubi titles and occasionally Forza Horizon 5
Amazing it took a year to fix that. Sometimes I hit the guide just to check the time, and the sequence was normally:
Press guide.
Press guide.
Press and hold guide.
Press guide.
>Would you like to Power console off, Log off, Restart.
Press B
Press guide.
-see time.
How does fixing that take a year and a half? Then again the file copy time estimate in Windows 11 has been broken since 1995.
@NEStalgia Lol been there many times. Glad they finally fixed it.
@NEStalgia Exactly that.
Tried it last night and couldn't recreate. Little victories.
I still get some tiles that are unresponsive and about half a minute later launches the game/store/app, or comes up with a popup saying game needs an update. Rewards app is particularly buggy at times. Baby steps
Wow I thought this was a problem with the controller. Crazy it took this long to fix.
This pissed me off so many times I've lost count...we're slowly getting there, thank you.
