Xbox Game Studios has been celebrating all sorts of sales milestones recently, and the latest one is for the dungeon crawler - Minecraft Dungeons.
In an update on social media and the official game site, it's been revealed the 2020 release - available across multiple formats including Xbox and PC - has now reached 15 million players.
To celebrate, the game is hosting a special 'festival of frost' event - from today until February 2022. Below is a bit about what to expect. There's also a special "Iceologer Cape" reward for everyone who logs into the game after 8th February.
"Starting today and until February 22, players can participate in the Festival of Frost, featuring a smorgasbord of chilly challenges! Avid Tower runners will discover that their favorite tall structure has been outfitted with new frost-themed floors. In addition, seasonal trials from the Chills and Thrills event will make a return, offering players who missed out on last year's event the chance to experience all the fun. And, saving the best for last, to commemorate this occasion, every player who logs into the game after February 8 will receive the “Iceologer Cape” reward as a thank you for being part of our ongoing journey!"
You can view the full details of the latest update on the official patch notes page.

This game has been quietly building up since launch. Impressive Mojang isn't just a one-hit wonder. Is Double Eleven just the port studio, or did they co-develop the game?
This game is most fun in local co-op...
So making that new Tower Challenge thing single player, was a huge mistake.
We haven't played the game at all since, but maybe I'll turn it on for the cape today.
Minecraft dungeons is rubbish. Was expecting Diablo lite. Got Diablo shi£&.
Hoping to have a better time with torchlight 3.
Normal Minecraft is brilliant though.

Personally, I have enjoyed Minecraft Dungeons, Diablo, and the Torchlight games.
