It's been an emotional week for longtime Halo fans - with the online services for all Halo games on the Xbox 360 discontinued. Players banded together right before the servers closed to unlock final achievements and just share memories of their time with the Xbox 360 Halo games over the years.
To pay our respects, we've rounded up some of the highlights doing the rounds on social media:

While the online services for the Halo games on Xbox 360 have now officially ended, as noted by Halo support, the affected games will still remain playable indefinitely, but some experiences (aka online play) will be impacted.
Thanks for the memories, Chief.

I was in High School back then, great memories playing with friends. Also actually made some new friends playing that game. Always had a great community
Man, end of an era.
That blacked out map hits hard 🥺
I remember being in a halo clan Gaming International. We had 1500 members that played halo 3. Some of my best memories in online shooters were in halo 3. It was fun playing big team battles with the clan and especially the custom games!
RIP Halo MP on 360. End of an era.
Halo 4 custom games still work. Its only 3 that seems to be all achievements affected, apart from service records on 4 and Reach meaning progression achievements are no longer possible. OdSt is fine as is Wars as they are P2P
Big Team Battle was awesome.
Literally in 2007 it seemed like only America was playing that first day lmao. In the end only 1328 were playing, although that was a glitch
