Nobody Saves The World, from Guacamelee! developer Drinkbox Studios, is another indie title that drops day one on Xbox Game Pass. Ahead of that launch on January 18th, we've been treated to some extended gameplay, via a lengthy IGN preview.
The video focuses on late-game content, namely the "Path of Doom", a series of arenas that you'll need to clear to access overworld areas. The arenas increase in difficulty as they go on, and things get pretty hectic on this run.
Drinkbox's lovely art style is on full display here, although Nobody Saves The World is certainly a little darker in tone than the likes of Guacamelee! Anyway, here's the full video:
Will you be giving this one a go on Xbox Game Pass? Let us know below.

Is there a game that is not joining game pass ?
Absolutely loved the demo of this. Completely sold, but even happier I don't have to buy, though I would have happily!
@homme_parametre yeah the big AAA games, I mean I know some of these indies are good and good for those that will enjoy them but it needs more big AAA games and newer ones.
This game looks great and I'll be playing it at some point in my life
@UltimateOtaku91
I agree, but it's surely more complicated to sign big third party AAA games rather than indies.
@homme_parametre but the pay off would be better, bigger AAA games would mean more subscribers.
@UltimateOtaku91
That's the balance.
Maybe some publishers simply don't want to and don't need.
@UltimateOtaku91 EXACTLY! I've said this for long time now. The perception that game pass is this amazing super duper greatest thing since sliced bread mostest fantastic thing that is greatee than kittens and puppies is really overhyped. Vast majority of games are those indie titles that looks like Nintendo 8 bit emulator. If wanted play those games I have boxes of NES games can play anytime I want. But if you enjoy those games then game pass really good thing.
I didn't know this game was launching so soon, one of my most anticipated of the year especially after the demo š
Good timing too with how packed this year is. Hopefully I'll get this and outer wilds done (or almost done) by the 28th for acrues. Will also play around a little with rainbow six, may as well it's on game pass š
@UltimateOtaku91 "Yeah the big AAA games"
Starfield, Halo Infinite, Forza 5, Fable, Elder scrolls 6, Avowed, etc. to name a few, all beg to differ. Not counting the previous AAA titles that made their way to the service.
@DevinRex sorry I should of been more specific, I mean the big third party games such as dying light 2, Elden Ring, call of duty, assassins creed etc and make Battlefield 2042 and fifa day one instead of 6 months after they release. Most third party devs are putting games on gamepass months after releases when sales are starting to die off so they use Microsoft for a quick cash injection using gamepass for a few months
@UltimateOtaku91 I see, but I mean... I don't really see that as a bad thing.
I get to play AAA games for free under my subscription, and if I want to play them earlier, or if it doesn't come to GP, I buy the game at launch.
In addition, for smaller devs, they get more exposure, and GP members get to play more games that they otherwise wouldn't.. Both sides benefit. Don't see much of a problem with that.
Who ever seriously expected the latest greatest AAA third party games on Game pass? When was that promised?
Anyway this looks really good and exactly the sort of thing that should be getting picked up for GP. Drink box have been a consistently good studio so far and Iām looking forward to playing it.
