Back in November, BioWare celebrated N7 Day by sharing new artwork for Mass Effect 5, and the company has teased fans this week by suggesting there are "at least five surprises" hidden within it.
In a status update from Studio General Manager Gary McKay, he stated these surprises "point to an amazing future":
"If you’re curious about Mass Effect, I’d encourage you to take a look at the poster we released on N7 Day. If you look closely, there are a handful of hidden treats; by my count, there are at least five surprises, all of which point to an amazing future in the Mass Effect universe. "
Additionally, McKay mentioned that he's seeing some incredible work from the Mass Effect team right now — along with the Dragon Age 4 team who are "focused on a single-player experience that is built on choices that matter."
Of course, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also now available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (via EA Play), and McKay highlighted in his update that the feedback for the game "has been insanely positive", enthusing that its great reception "really underscores the value of striving for excellence and quality in every element of a game."
Have you spotted any surprises in the poster? Let us know down in the comments.

Well the whole crater is the shape of the geth with an eye, that's one! Legion is Legion. A commentary on anti-social online types

The heavy emphasis on Blue & Red could mean that the Paragon sytem will make a return.
I know a lot of people hated it and the internet basically killed it off but I really enjoyed the story from mass effect andromda I wish they would continue it 🤔
@Delpoi I hated it my first playthrough, but on my second I appreciated it more. I liked the story concept, but had no interest in Jaal or the generic enemies (except the two leaders)
And they'd be better off returning to the mission based format of 1-3 and the Andromeda squadmate missions, rather than the giant empty open world
Please don't call it Mass Effect 5....
Is that actually a super close up of tree bark or something, and the game will be a "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" style Sci-Fi adventure?
I've got it! The main character will be called "Will Continue".
Still never played a mass effect game. Will have to give it a go at some point. I'm assuming just playing the remasters vs the originals is the way to go?
Is that Shephard I see bottom right or do my eyes deceive me?
@Delpoi I liked the concept of the story far more than the way it was told. And the characters all fell flat by comparison to ME 1-3.
I'm not joking I actually had to just google the characters to remember who they were, it has been a few years, yet I remember all of them from ME1 fourteen years ago.
I think that's a pretty common view.
