Following on from Microsoft's announcement that it would be acquiring Activision Blizzard for close to $70 billion, Blizzard has now shared its own surprise — with the reveal of a brand-new survival game for consoles and PC.
While details are still limited, the latest announcement has seemingly raised some concerns about the company's existing IP. Head of Blizzard Entertainment Mike Ybarra has now kind of addressed this in a brief exchange with a fan on Twitter, noting how updates are coming soon:
"Blizzard is a big studio and we have talented and growing teams supporting live games as well. Over the coming weeks, you'll be hearing more on that from Warcraft and Overwatch. Diablo will follow. Stay tuned!"
While his response points more towards the future of series' like Warcraft and Overwatch, and other IP like Diablo, some fans are still questioning what's next for existing games (including live services) that are already available.
How are you feeling about Blizzard a week later now that you know it's backed by Microsoft? Leave a comment below.

Hopefully they announce a release date for overwatch 2
With Microsoft’s recent acquisition Diablo 4 should release on GP on day 1...can’t wait
As long as they don't ask if we have phones I will be interested in this.
Starcraft for consoles remains my big hope. It's the one big classic PC series that hasn't cracked console yet. Even Supreme Commander hit Xbox, and that's way more complicated than SC.
@Tasuki
@NEStalgia Warcraft never came to console either. Only games that have of Blizzards are Overwatch and Diablo.
@Tasuki Yeah but warcraft has sucked for 25 years and StarCraft has remained relevant
