We've been hearing rumours recently that Mass Effect Legendary Edition is coming to Xbox Game Pass, and while the original evidence was a bit sketchy, this new evidence seems to be much more concrete that it's on the way soon.
Twitter user Aggiornamenti Lumia, who is known for scanning the Microsoft Store for unreleased details, has found a seemingly new version of Mass Effect Legendary Edition for PC with the name "Rosebud" in brackets, which has previously been reported as the codename for EA Play games on Xbox Game Pass for PC.
No further details have been provided for now, although a user in the replies seems adamant that it's coming in December. There's no word on whether it'd just be a PC exclusive addition to EA Play either, but we're assuming not.
This still isn't definitive proof that Mass Effect Legendary Edition is on the way to Game Pass, but even if it doesn't happen this year, you have to assume it'll make its way to the service eventually. The question is, how long will it be?
When do you think we'll see Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Game Pass? Let us know down below.

Hopefully soon, can't wait to play it
Man, I hope this means multiplayer is still on the table. ME multiplayer was actually really, really fun. I’m not much of a MP gamer but ME still managed to hook me in.
@Roqka
I agree completely, I played it over 600h on Xbox 360.
I mean it's always a question of "when" not "if" with EA games coming to game pass.
It 100% will come to Gamepass, but personally I'm not in a rush. I wanted to replay the trilogy again ages ago, and held off for the remake, then was holding off for it to come to Gamepass, but I've got too many other games on the go at the moment, so I'll be happy if it drops on to the service some time in the new year.
@Roqka There is no multiplayer in this remake.
Makes sense. EA games usually get added after about 6 months.
@Alex79uk No *****? I just said I hope EA didn’t scrap the multiplayer part yet. They said something like “we’ll never say never” sorta thing before, but of course that could just as well mean it’s never coming.
Hopefully they've fixed the new bugs that were introduced in this remake such as the timer not being accurate if you press continue, bugged quests, and saves just being straight up deleted. Lost about 80 hours of progress in ME2 because of this and haven't played since.
@InterceptorAlpha
Thats too bad. But originals had way more bugs. I played remakes for two times (normal and legendary) and only bug that I had was that timer thing.
@Justifier The only bug I ever ran into on the original ME was falling through a level, once, after replaying the games 4 times. And in 2 when enemies could shoot through walls. Aside from that not ran into anything game breaking like I have on the Legendary Edition. I've ran into NPCs I can't even talk to to turn in quests leaving me with a ton of side quests I can't finish. Which itself is super annoying because I do every quest, every play through.
The only Mass Effect that was ever buggier than Legendary Edition was Andromeda.
@Roqka I guess they could patch it in at a later date, but you'd think they'd have done it by now if they were going to really.
Still never played a mass effect game! I decided to wait for the legendary edition rather than jumping in now on gamepass. I've got a load of games to play at the moment, so no problem waiting a bit longer.
Normally about 6-8 months before a game hits EA Play.
This came out in May, so it should hit the service by January.
Game Awards announcement intensifies
@NickramCTID if you are a fan of anything sci fi, this well be well, WELL worth the wait.
Never played the series, would be great to see it on Gamepass.
I already own it on Playstation but for anyone who has never played them this would be a great gift!
I haven't played them and I want to but I hope that they fix the fatal glitches you're talking about.
I already completed it when it was released but I hope it is coming to game pass and ppl enjoy it as much as I did
I will definitely be playing this on Game Pass when it eventually hits
It's a matter of time
