If you thought we were out of delay season, think again. Developer Firaxis Games has announced the eagerly anticipated Marvel's Midnight Suns is being pushed back to the second half of 2022.
The game was originally intended to launch in March 2022, but it's now seeing a hefty delay which could see it coming out at the back end of the year.
According to a statement from creative director Jake Solomon and senior franchise producer Garth DeAngelis, the reason is to ensure the team has "more time to make the best game possible", resulting in "more story, cinematics and overall polish".
Games with 2022 release dates are already beginning to shift, with Elden Ring recently being pushed back a month. February is looking stacked, with the likes of Dying Light 2 and Saints Row also set to arrive in just three months' time, so we wouldn't be too surprised to hear of a few more setbacks over the coming weeks.

This was honestly going to be one of my early purchases for next year, but i'm cool with the delay. More polish always works out better in the end and I have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime.
I just really want this to be good, and have its own identity separate from the MCU.
@Microbius I agree with you for the most part. Back 4 Blood has been an exception so far. Though I'm sure when I go back replay levels it I'll be frustrating having a lack of consistency in gameplay since your sharacter can be wildly stronger in one run versus another due to said cards.
@InterceptorAlpha Completely agree. But it's give and take. Stinks one way. But really breaks up the game's monotony other way.
I'm more annoyed with back 4 blood that can NEVER get a full team. If do one or two sit in the safe house whole game and you and other player get destroyed!
Hopefully all these delayed games don't get pushed out in the same window and lose out to shared sales.
