The Xbox One title Dying Light has received ongoing support from developer Techland since it arrived on the scene in 2015, and in the near future, it will perhaps be receiving its most exciting update yet.
Dying Light's official Twitter account confirmed this during a brief exchange with a fan on Twitter. This follows on from the game being added to Xbox's FPS Boost list earlier this year for XSX. While there's no exact release date just yet (or specific platforms) for Techland's patch, more details about this will be shared in the future.
This conversation was underneath a video promoting Dying Light: Hellraid - a free DLC update adding new challenges, new areas and much more. You can read more about it in our previous post.
As exciting as all this is, on a more unfortunate note, Dying Light 2 has been delayed until 4th February next year - with the team requesting more time to polish and optimise it.

I feel bad for the Jason Ronald and his team.
They do all this hard work to get titles working and fully tested with FPS Boost.
Then developers see the benefit and extra sales in attracts and do an 'official' patch, rendering the FPS Boost pointless.
Memorable game, one of the first truly next-gen feeling titles last gen, though not without some rough edges
@blinx01 I’d assume they look at the bigger picture. The whole ecosystem is more important. If they can encourage devs to make patches, it’s brilliant. And if they can’t this tech can be used in some cases, but not all.
I did get a 7.5gb update yesterday.
I did also read that and think they'd made Hellraid free.
Ooh an excuse to reply it. Although whilst I appreciate this, I would rather they out aside these projects and just concentrated on getting the sequel out of the door currently.
Best zombie/post apocalyptic game around, can't wait for the second one and might even replay this one when it releases on switch next week
@UltimateOtaku91 Agreed, was a bit gutted they delayed the sequel as it was on my Christmas list, looking forward to it.
@blinx01 Well their hard work is still benefiting some games I like.
I’m surprised it wasn’t upgraded already
