Celeste is one of the best games ever made. Either you like story, platforming or challenge is a must play.
Wow that's a lot of games from my watchlist that are going to leave. Luckily, I already own Celeste on my Switch so there's no rush for me to play it now.
Has anyone played through Carto and Knights & Bikes and would recommend playing them before they leave? I'm also on the fence of giving the first Five Nights at Freddy's a go since I've never played this series before, but the gameplay just doesn't appeal to me at all. Looks very stressful in fact.
When this many leave it makes me wonder what's coming....đ¤đ
A bit of a shame, as had a few of these on my play later list. Think I'm going to try and get through Eastshade â has anyone played it? I still really need to play Celeste too, but thankfully can play that on Switch or Stadia.
Would anyone recommend Knights and Bikes?
@MegaWatts @LtSarge I've started Knights & Bikes, but only got through the first few levels so far - I've found the narrative pretty decent but a slow burn, going to try and get back to it this week as it did definitely feel like a game I'd want to complete.
Eastshade is a very chill slow game, again I'm not miles in but the characters are sweet enough and it's quite attractive - so far just the odd puzzle or painting, which I imagine might get harder in time. Think it's a good de-stress game, while K&B I find more a weird funny game (but still not exactly high octane!)
Ok so 5 of these were on the ever growing backlog so I'll have to see if I can get through some of them. Carto, Celeste, Eastshade, Knights and Bikes and unruly heroes here i come!!!
Eastshade is lovely if anyone's thinking of checking it out. Rather short as well.
@MegaWatts I played Eastshade back when it arrived on gamepass so it's not quite clear in my mind but it's definitely worth a playthrough, from the top of my head graphically the game looks a bit off but that might be about it.
Luckily I claimed Celeste when it was a Games with Gold game a few years ago. Otherwise I'd have to make sure to fit it in before the end of the month. Granted it would be my own fault since I've put off playing a great game all this time.
Still, it's always a little weird seeing a game that's been on Game Pass for a very long time leave. Might have to try to squeeze in Knights and Bikes though.
Celeste was a Game with Gold. I haven't played it, though.
I thought that was a lot of games but 5 of them are the Freddy games so no huge loss. If I was MS I'd try and make Celeste a fixture of Gamepass. One of the best games ever.
Celeste is an absolute must play for anyone who hasn't.
And if you have? Play it again anyway đ
Arghhh! gotta finish Carto.
Appreciate these posts... even if they're the ones I dread!
@Cherip-the-Ripper @MegaWatts seconding the Eastshade recommendationâplayed through it earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. Won't be for everyone, but I imagine it'll click (or not) fairly quickly for most people, so worth trying for sure to see how you get on! One of the most relaxing things I've played this year.
@SteveButler2210 I'll try it then!
Celeste is a great game
What a large list! Iâve also played Celeste on Switch but I would definitely recommend that game before any of the others if youâre trying to squeeze it it.
Knights and Bikes is also pretty good. Itâs not very long.
Iâve given Carto a try but itâs just so strange to me because the puzzles arenât your typical sort and I had to keep looking up solutions without ever getting that âAha!â moment. Theyâre just weird..
Unruly Heroes is on my list.. anybody give it a try?
Celeste is great, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily a 10/10. I just prefer more of a proper adventure rather than what is essentially a series of challenges.
I only tried the first FNAF but it's pretty fun for a few good jump scares. The concept and gameplay is extremely simple, and runs are super short, so you'll have seen 90% of the game in the first 2 minutes. I recommend taking turns with a friend or partner for maximum enjoyment.
I tried Eastshade for an hour or so and found it to be pretty boring tbh, but I can see why other people might find it pleasant/relaxing.
