Left 4 Dead spiritual successor Back 4 Blood is coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch this October, but before then, we've got a couple of open betas taking place on Xbox this month so you can try the game out early.
Ahead of the first one (which begins later this week), IGN has gone hands-on with the beta in both PVE and PVP modes, and you can watch the footage at the top of the page. There's seven minutes' worth of gameplay and preview impressions, and the outlet's "biggest takeaway is that we can't wait to see more". It looks great!
The first beta will be accessible this weekend from August 5-9 for anyone who has pre-ordered the game, after which it'll be opened up to everyone on Xbox between August 12-16, giving players a taste of two campaign maps and two swarm mode locations, along with five playable characters to try out. Plus it'll feature cross-play support!
Looking forward to trying out Back 4 Blood's open beta? Let us know in the comments below.

Really glad this is on game pass. A lot of releases this Autumn and I know I'll love this if I can get some family and friends for the coop. Game Pass really helps bridge that gap.
I will definitely try the beta. Love me some L4D, and a next-gen version should be enjoyable.
Left 4 dead sequel is no longer left 4 dead...okay, I admit it, that was a bad joke. Can't wait to play this!
