Following on from the news last week that the free-to-play team-based shooter Splitgate had reached 10 million downloads in less than a month, 1047 Games has now officially launched Season 0.

There is a reimagined version of the original map Karman Station, a new battle pass with 100 levels of brand new items, and a new game mode known as contamination - essentially a survival mode.

Various other changes and improvements have been made, too. There's now a "Final Kill Cam", the pistol has been reworked and there are various other quality of life changes and bug fixes which you can see in full over on the official game blog.
