We had some good fun with the closed Back 4 Blood beta this past weekend, which was made accessible to those who had pre-ordered the game, and another beta is arriving this weekend for everyone on Xbox.
The release times for the free Xbox open beta of Back 4 Blood are Thursday, August 12 at 12pm PT/ 3pm ET / 8pm BST / 9pm CET, and the beta will last for four days until Monday, August 16 at the same times.
You'll get a chance to try a couple of PvE campaign maps and a couple of PvP Swarm Mode maps, and the beta also includes cross-gen and cross-play support, so you can match up with your friends on other platforms.
If you want to pre-load the beta right now, you can head to the dedicated page on the Xbox Store and start downloading it. You're looking at a file size of just over 25GB, so it shouldn't take up too much space on your console.
Back 4 Blood is a thrilling cooperative first-person shooter from the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise. Play the Open Beta and experience intense four-player co-op, competitive multiplayer as human or Ridden, and frenetic gameplay that keeps you in the action. Play with up to three of your friends online or go solo and lead your team in battle.

Heck yeah I am going to try it. L4D was one of my favorite series on the 360. Been watching this game closely since it was announced so I am anxious to play this game. Been watching videos of the close beta the past few days and from what everyone says this is L4D3 in all but name.
It will be a perfect weekend for me to play this as I tested positive for COVID and have to isolate myself for 10 days from my family and every day life.
@Originut Thanks! So far it's just been a little bit of nasal congestion and a very very mild cough to clear mucus from my throat.
The only reason I even got tested was because someone I had semi-regular contact with this past week had similar symptoms and decided to get tested and came back positive.
I am vaccinated.
I guess it just goes to show, cold-like symptoms could be COVID, now, and not the "common" cold.
