8BitDo is today announcing a brand-new media remote for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, available to pre-order from today over at Amazon US, and set to begin shipping on September 15.
There are actually two variants of the remote, including one long black Media Remote ($19.99) and one short white Media Remote ($24.99). Both are officially licensed by Xbox, include a dedicated HOME button to wake your Xbox system remotely, and feature back-lit buttons along with A/B/X/Y buttons for easy navigation.

@Tyryps looks like they are listed incorrectly in the article as the Amazon links show the black (long) is the more expensive.
@FraserG I am not sure if it's a typo but you posted in the article black one was 19.99 and the white one is 24.99 yet the links say otherwise.
@Tasuki Yep, you're right. Thanks for pointing that out!
@Tyryps @dmcc0 The white one is actually supposed to be more expensive according to the press release we've been given.
It could be a typo on their end, I'm not sure!
My current media remote is looking really tired and shabby, Microsoft doesn't seem to manufacture them anymore so this product is most welcome.
Why not offer both versions in both colors?
My samsung tv remote, kinda works with my xbo. I can move the cursor, select apps and back out of some apps. But when I hit the guide button to bring up the xbo guide menu, my series s turns on😵and my remote isnt compatible with the series s. So then I have to get up, grab the xbss controller and turn off the xbo or walk over and turn off the series s. First world problems.
Hopefully this alleviates a lot of those problems
Oooooooh I'm in for this. I use my Series S to watch tv/streaming in my room and the remote I use currently is decent but not perfect
How long until someone beats Dark Souls on one of these?
I’m hoping this has better quality control than the PDP talon, the back plate/battery cover is so fragile and constantly falls off and is flaking
@PhhhCough my samsung tv remote used to work with my one s as well. Ever since I have gotten the series x it doesn't anymore though.
Nice. I've been looking for a good remote for the Series X.
