When Cyberpunk 2077 failed to live up to expectations on last-generation systems, Microsoft began to offer refunds for digital copies of the Xbox version.
Last month, we heard how Microsoft would soon be reverting back to the standard refund procedure, and today is your reminder that from here on out (for both new and existing purchases) you'll only have 14 days to request a refund of this game after purchasing it. Even then - there's no guarantee it'll go through.
"The team at CD PROJEKT RED continues to work hard to improve the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox players and has made a number of updates. Given these updates, Microsoft will be returning to our standard digital game refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 6 for both new and existing purchases."
CD Projekt Red issued a number of major fixes for Cyberpunk 2077 after its disastrous launch late last year, which have made some serious improvements to the game. Recently, CEO Adam KiciĆski said the company felt the game's stability had finally reached a satisfactory level following the most recent patch.
Did you end up making use of this special refund policy in the end? Will you be returning to Night City in the future now that the game's been stabilised? Leave a comment down below.

Jokes on you, i never purchased it. Saw this mess coming a mile away. As soon as i heard you can no longer have spider arms and climb walls i was like ahhh im out.
Was fine on the series X, nothing groundbreaking or brilliant though...8 out of 10 for me
@Originut One could only dream
No I kept it, I've just started playing it on Series X and it's really good so far. I am kind of torn about waiting for its actual next gen version though so may just play Yakuza for the time being
Bought on release boxed so kept it. Have played around 1 hour and Enjoyed it without glitches. No real time to play at moment and waiting for next gen update.
I kept it. Plan to play it once more when next gen version drops. Though I must admit I found the game to be boring so I might not finish it again...
Still waiting for the next gen version.
I look forward to playing this around Christmas once the next gen version is out + a few patches.
Removed from the hypetrain, and going in with eyes open to it's failings, I'm more likely to enjoy it for what it actually is rather than what it isn't.
Some things were promised that aren't there, others were inferred and overhyped. But ultimately it isn't the game we thought we were getting.
Yeah I got a refund. Then I bought the physical copy steel book special edition thing at Best Buy with a bunch of extras for $16. It's been sitting on my shelf since it arrived.
