If you've been wanting a new but classic dynamic theme to jazz up your Xbox Series X|S with, you might be in luck.
In this week's episode of the Xbox Podcast, Major Nelson showed off what appears to be an OG-inspired dynamic background for the current generation system, while discussing what he's been playing recently.
If you're not familiar with the original Xbox, well - the background looked rather similar to the one in this shot.
It's now of course got many fans on social media speculating that Xbox will be rolling out this classic theme at some point later this year, which could potentially line up with the original system's 20th anniversary in November.

Would you make use of this classic dynamic theme yourself? Now we just need the Xbox 360 blades...

Yes! This is what I wanted as soon as I heard about dynamic backgrounds!
The sound would also be nice, maybe we will get this feature and make it more of a theme than just a dynamic background, this is something that the PS4 did very well.
Yes i want this, would love some sort of way to pay homage to the blade interface too from X360. I just want more dynamic background overall too though as the choice is very limited right now
I preferred the NXE to the Blades on 360. 😍
Edit: Corrected a spelling mistake. 😑
@Carck Yes. 😎
We all have a place in our heart for the blades as that's what we saw in the early days... But I think the 360 dashboard just got better and better. I enjoyed the evolution. I also enjoyed the evolution on the Xbox One too, extra fun, like getting a new console almost and even though the Series have launched with almost the same dash we will see an evolution again, no doubt. They just to have moved to smaller incremental changes right now.
I would love the theme to populate other parts of the dash too, not just the main page's background.
@gingataisen I'm the opposite I really loved the Blades lol
