As is the tradition with most games these days, BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect Legendary Edition will allow you to be a shutterbug, as a photo mode is coming bundled into the game.
Shared on Twitter by Mac Walters, the game's project director, fans got a first look at the photo mode in action. It can be used across all three games at any time where you can pause the game and access the mission computer. It looks pretty standard compared to the photo modes found in other games, but it's certainly welcomed as the trilogy is looking gorgeous remastered.
A side-by-side comparison of the game was shared earlier this week, which highlights the improvements made for the remaster. New lighting, character models, and other graphical assets have been changed up dramatically. It's looking to be a perfect nostalgic trip, and we can't wait to get back aboard the Normandy on May 14.

I have zero interest in Photo Mode in Any game at all. It seems like a lot of people love this mode and good for them. But i can't for the life of me figure out why i would need to take pictures from in game. This is my own personal opinion i know and i should keep it to myself...
Mass Effect Snap...
@OliverOwen
I think they're mostly for the people who like to take photos of everything that ever happens to them, and then share on twitter/instagram.
I know several people who take a photo of every single meal they ever cook, so they can show it to everyone. This entire category of behaviour seems alien to me.
@Dezzy there are only two reasons to ever take a photo of your food:
1. it's hilarious (example: food rearranged to look like genitalia)
2. ...
@Dezzy I think that it's decidedly different with games. People might want to take pictures of unique achievements or moments, secret areas, maps, clues, kills, or simply just the environment or scenery if it's really beautiful or something like that.
Lord knows I've done plenty of fiddling around with the capture buttons on the Xbox One and on the Switch. Albeit with the latter mostly in Animal Crossing...
