It's only been a week since Microsoft treated us to 13 FPS Boosted games on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S courtesy of EA, but this time they've dropped a ridiculous 70+ FPS Boosts for us to enjoy - available today!
There are some much-requested games in this list as well, including multiple Assassin's Creed titles, three Far Cry entries, Tomb Raider games, loads of LEGO offerings, Gears of War 4, Wasteland 3 and much, much more!
Here's the full list, complete with specifications for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S:
These FPS Boosts will be available as of today, but be warned that not all of them are turned on by default on Xbox Series X, so you'll need to activate them under the Compatibility Options in the 'Manage game and add-ons' setting.
"In some instances, because there are higher graphics requirements to enable FPS Boost technology, we’ve had to reduce a game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great. In those select cases, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers."

Oooooo. That’s a good list…. Not sure you’ll get all of a 120 upgrade from a lot of them, but that’s a good start to another MS news heavy week
This batch is definitely a lot more interesting than the previous batches. A lot more focus on increasing to 60fps this time.
Absolute legends. Now this is what I was waiting for! Are these all live now?
@Dezzy Apparently so!
Wow...that’s a lot! Microsoft really are spoiling us. I’m a bit gutted there’s still no Batman Arkham Knight but I’m sure that will come in time. Plenty of others I’m thinking of double-dipping on though (having played them on PS4 first time round).
@Grumblevolcano yeah I agree about your 60fps point. Making titles 120fps was catering to a small audience, at least right now. A lot more people can appreciate 60fps.
So now we have Dishonored Def. Ed., Death of the Outsider but not Dishonored 2?
That sucks, it is the one game I wanted to be included. Well, maybe next time
This is a great list! I’m really sad FC4 didn’t make in there. I would replay that game in a heartbeat if it got a frame rate enhancement.
@InfamousOrange Far Cry 4? It got an enhancement back in February, runs at 60fps on both consoles now!
@InfamousOrange Do you mean Far Cry 4? That got boosted a while back, it was one of the first batch released
Glad to see Alien and Deus Ex on the list. Was hoping for Dishonored 2, but maybe that's coming further down the line.
WHAT?! WOOF WOOF!!!
Where's Quantum Break? Or Gears of War Definitive Edition?
I hope this starts to become a regular occurrence, a weekly/bi-weekly drop would be great!
No rise of the tomb raider? Hope that’s coming to complete the trilogy at 60fps
@FraserG The list says Don't Starve is 60FPS on XSX but 120FPS on XSS. The list released by Microsoft seems to indicate it's 120FPS on both. Just in case it's an error.
Why are Moto GP 20 and Steep only enabled for FPS Boost on Series S? 🤔
@SteelRain I assume because they're already 60fps on Xbox Series X / Xbox One X?
I have tired many times now 30 to 60fps and you definitely see and feel the improvement.
I did try 60 to 120fps and did feel much of an improvement over 60fps.
Much prefer the 60fps whilst keeping the higher resolution and all the graphical effects, than 120fps and possibly losing graphical fidelity and effects.
Could someone answer me this question please as I don't have a Series X just yet. I've heard that using FPS Boost lowers the games resolution, is that true? If so, I don't think I'd ever use it then because I wouldn't want the resolution sacrificed to get higher FPS.
@Xeno_Aura Thanks! It was an error
What a great selection of games. A lot of stuff I was waiting for.
Alien isolation, deus ex & halo wars 2 here I come ^^
@Snake_V5 Depends on the game, some games have "dynamic resolution scaling" which lowers the resolution to maintain a certain frame rate. I don't think this applies to all games, or even most games though.
You should check out the Digital Foundry youtube channel, they have a couple of vids testing out the FPS Boost games, and also mention resolutions.
@FraserG oh! I didn’t think about that!
Quite a stout list, very well done by Microsoft!
@Snake_V5 The resolution will be lowered to a degree, but the trade off will be worth it if you’re going from 30 to 60, lag will be reduced and motion will look cleaner. 60 to 120 is more subjective, for multiplayer twitch games it will be worth it but maybe not for slower paced single player titles. I’d rather play at 720p 60fps than 4K 30fps, playability would be much better.
Impressive! Not my most wanted games perhaps but I still see quite a few games that I definitely will be trying out.
Still, 74 games, damn. Not bad!
So Where is Ryse & Sunset Overdrive ???
????????????????
LEGO GAMES!!!!
I said on the last rumor article i would had been happy if all the games were Lego games. Sad Lego City Undercover is not there, but played that one recently so not like I was about to play it again soon.
Also got to add that its extremely awesome that Super Lucky's Tale is getting an FPS boost despite them releasing New Super Lucky's Tale. They are not forcing players to buy the newer ones if they already had that version of the game, that is extremely awesome of them. Most publishers would had likely blocked any FPS boost on older version releases.
@rjc-32 @FraserG oh snap!!! I guess I missed that news. Thanks guys!!!!
@Richard-92 I dont think we can ever expect this out of Sunset Overdrive, being owned by Sony, I have a feeling they will never agree to the feature being enabled. Ryse, that's a different story.
Keep in mind all these games requires a lot of deals, so that bottlenecks the process. It's usually faster to get deals done with tons of games from a single publisher than dealing with publishers of single individual games.
74?! Quite a jump from the usual 5 or so. This is amazing though! I'm so excited to jump back into Shadow of the Tomb Raider now that it's been patched to 60fps on the Series S.
Alien isolation at 60fps might very well be worth another go. Didn’t properly get into it first time.
Very happy that ReCore has been supported. I just bought that during the recent Easter sale. Also great to see Gears of War 4 updated and the Tomb Raider games… though weird that Rise seems not to be included? Also no Dark Souls 3 is a real shame - hopefully next time?
I’m amazed they added so many at once! 74 all in one go is absolutely bonkers. Real value add, especially for Series S users who would otherwise miss out on One X frame rate boosts.
Can’t wait to see what they add next - my top picks for next time are Dark Souls 3 and Ashen. Oh and Rise of the Tomb Raider to complete the trilogy.
The Gears of War 4 one is the only one I find a little...odd for Series X.
Why would anyone want to run the Xbox One version of the game when using FPS Boost to 60fps on Xbox Series X, when the game already has a Performance option (since Series X uses the Xbox One X versions)?
Makes perfect sense for Series S since it only uses the base Xbox One version.
But Series X? No...just run the game in Performance mode from the games settings to get 60fps. Do not use FPS Boost
Very nice Microsoft! Unfortunately I just finished two of my favorite games on the list a month ago
I've tried playing Watch Dogs so many times but hated 30 fps. Now I'll give it a go. I literally can't play anything that's 30 fps now. God I'm spoiled.
Microsoft: don't expect lots of FPS boosted games right away. It'll be gradual.
Also Microsoft: BAM! FPS BOOST DELUGE MOTHERF**KERS!
Uhm. Holy hell.
The 2 games that feel like they should be on this list, but aren't, are Gears 1 Ultimate Edition and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
@The_New_Butler Well, what's the reason that it's on by default for some games and not others?
Typical. Dead Island and Dying Light fps boost not available on Series S. I'm beyond livid😠😤......🤯
Jesus Cristo! That’s an amazing list of boosted games. I’m turning my S into a FPS boost machine.
I was chatting about ReCore and Deus Ex today and BOOM! They are in that list.
Great job Xbox 👌
@Nightcrawler71 I use my Series S on my 144hz capable 1080p monitor so those are 120fps games are perfect for me.
Well Dishonoured and ReCore are games we're playing May n June for the Gamepass club.... clearly they watch what we choose as they keep hooking us up.
@GamingFan4Lyf I was wondering the exact same thing. It's very odd. Can anyone shed any light on this?
@Chaotic_Goat rather odd isn't it seeing as how death of the outsider isn't even on gamepass yet.
Holy moly the list ... a bit sad that most titles i expect to get boosted didn't make it to this list 😿
Well, here's hoping that BC team keep this 50+ titles pace per announcement over the next few months !!!
@Spaceman-Spiff I reached out to Jason Ronald about this, will update if I am allowed to share the information.
Yessssss! Super excited about this!
Wow! Thank you to the wizards at MS.
I will be trying a lot of these out, Mad Max at 120/60 on the X/S, great underrated game, Sleeping Dogs, Recore, Lego games. Great selection.
A request, any driving games that are at 30fps now, Xbox 360 games, maybe the COD ones at 120.
Very pleased with this.
@Richard-92
Hopefully in the next batch? They are two games that would be great to see updated, Sunset Overdrive especially.
@Tharsman
Yep, my thoughts exactly on Super Luckys Tale
@The_New_Butler spot on if fps boost is already enabled then it doesnt effect resolution. if you have to turn it on then it will effect resolution
Only thing I wish is that they’d say how much of a resolution drop there is on the ones that aren’t on by default. Like The Evil Within 2 I’m specifically wondering about.
And still people wonder why Xbox is best...
ReCore! Yes! The uneven FPS really interfered with my ability to enjoy that game. This really should improve things!
Also... Anthem? Really? What a waste of time, effort and money. You won't even be able to play the game in a few years' time.
@Snake_V5 It looks like if FPS boost is enabled by default than resolution isn’t affected. If you have to enable it manually resolution may be affected so they’ve given you the choice to not jump straight in with boost on.
Aren't there a bunch of Xbox games that also look better on Series X? I recall seeing somewhere that Dead Space for 360 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 2005 were both running at higher framerates and resolutions on Xbox Series X. Can anyone confirm or share a link? Spent a bunch of time googling to no avail
@Kilamanjaro Currently no 360 or original Xbox games have been improved by FPS boost. I doubt it would work in the same manner given that they’re run using emulation. I’d really like to see 360 titles in particular take advantage but I’m sure it would take a lot more work, if it’s even at all possible with some games. Battlefront II OG was One X enhanced to take advantage of higher resolution years back though.
Looking forward to playing Unity at 60fps - and it's one sale (Deals with Gold)
I feel like a kid on christmas right now, I have most of these games physical in my backlog that i never played yet.. The Ezio Collection at 60 FPS is amazing, I finished Assassin's Creed 2 but never got around to Brotherhood or Revalations.. Also never played Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered or Rogue or Unity.. I also never played any of the Tomb Raider games yet or Farcry Primal, New Dawn, 5, or 4.. The fact i get to experience these games for the first time ever at 60 FPS is absolutely amazing.. We really are being spoiled this generation so far.. I LOVE YOU XBOX..
@rjc-32 yeah this is what I'm referring too. I knew some older games were enhanced, it's kind of confusing tracking all of the boosts, optimizations and enhancements. I'm sure MS will find another synonym for another feature soon too! Appreciate the answer, will look up the enhanced games then. Found the link here on the Xbox site! https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list
Ooh might have to replay Yakuza 6. Had a brief try of Dragon Age Inquisition a game I've always wanted to play but just couldn't enjoy it due to the framerate, looks brilliant at 60,auto HD works well TOO (same with My Time at Portia).
Very nice! I’m pretty damn happy with Xbox this generation so far. Just waiting for some triple A games now...
Never expected a drop as large as this all at one time.
I'm sure some of the requested games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dishonored 2 will come in time. There's no reason for them not to with the rest of their series now getting FPS boosts.
played Prey with frame rate boost taking it up to 60fps and with auto HDR and fast load times in the series X was like playing a remaster of the original so many improvements
Never need an excuse to replay Hollow Knight.
Amazing selection, fingers crossed for Dishonored 2 next time 👍🏻
Monster Energy Supercross 3 in 60fps is a total game changer. I really like that game but always felt it was so hard to control and it really need small adjustments all the time (even more so than most car games).
I gave up on it for some time, but now it got an FPS boost, so had to try it! First, I run it on the default 30 fps or so. Was as hard as always to control and play!
Enter FPS Boost at 60fps and damn, it was like night and day, suddenly I felt in control and had no problem to take pole position on default difficulty! Did not think the difference would be that big!
