The superb No Man's Sky has received its latest update on Xbox Game Pass today in the form of 'Expeditions', which brings a ton of new features to the game, including a brand-new game mode.
That game mode is appropriately titled "expeditions," and is all about bringing the whole community of travellers together to embark on a shared journey as you complete milestones together - starting a fixed point in the universe.
Elsewhere, there are loads of other additions including a brand-new Target Sweep mechanic that "brings a new element of exploration gameplay to missions," a complete UI and HUD overhaul, new rendezvous points for meeting up with other travellers, lots of new rewards (many attached to the new Expeditions mode) and much more.
You can find a complete rundown over at Xbox Wire, courtesy of Hello Games' Sean Murray.

Now this is how you fix your game from a bad start and keep the solid post launch support coming over the last few years, a few studios should take note of hello games. I'd go as far as saying no man's sky has had the best post launch support I've ever seen (that isn't an mmorpg)
I haven't played this yet but have been eyeing it. Maybe after Outer World's I'll give this a go.
Years later they are still adding tons of content to this game. Gotta say by now this is probably the best space exploration game. They really gave you a real ability to just go wherever you like with discoveries to be made as you go along. So many space sims feel really focused, this is just an incredibly open game. I always just liked to play a space explorer in this game.
