Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic Games recently announced it was undergoing a rebrand, and those plans have now been revealed in the form of a new publishing label called Playtonic Friends.
Three studio partners have joined up with the publishing label to start with, which are Awe Interactive (BPM: Bullets Per Minute), Fabraz (Slime-san), and okidokico (OK Golf), and their new games will be revealed soon.
"The new venture will allow the company to use its experience of developing and launching both Yooka-Laylee and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair to enable those hidden-gem games, developers, and new businesses to reach the best audience possible."
In addition, Playtonic teased in a press release that it has its own "top-secret new title currently in the works", seemingly involving Yooka-Laylee antagonist Capital B. Hopefully we'll find out more in the near future!
