The release of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S this past November gave us the Carbon Black, Robot White, and Shock Blue controllers, and now a Pulse Red variant is set to hit the market this February.
The controller will contain all the same features as the other three, such as the new Share button, improved d-pad and Dynamic Latency Input, and will work for Xbox Cloud Gaming and on last-gen Xbox One consoles as well.
You'll be able to get your hands on the Pulse Red Xbox Wireless Controller starting February 9th (although it's available tomorrow in China), and it'll be available at a recommended retail price of $64.99.

Very slick looking controller. MS is killing it with the designs, love it!
Red isn't my favourite colour but I'll make an exception for that controller. Looks real nice. Just have nowhere to put it in my small flat.
I bought the Shock Blue when it was on sale a couple of months ago, but screw it I want this one too!
I'd prefer it if it were all red but, even with the white, that is one sexy controller.
I’ll buy another one when they inevitably update with adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion control.
Love the red and white
This is what I was waiting for. I love red
Please Microsoft do a a green one.
I’m surprised they haven’t done green. I mean it’s the main colour associated with Xbox
I have the shock blue one as a second controller for all the fighting games.
I really dig it.
This red is not bad, either
I’ve bought new faceplates off of Amazon recently, I have a purple controller now.
Cost in the region of £15 and are very easy to fit. Not as nice a red as the official one above, but still quite nice.

Agree the back should be red
Still waiting on some proper special editions, hopefully one with rubber grips.
Avoiding getting more controllers like the plague...don't need more. In a year or so i might get a design lab one if the get some new features in the standard models. If not then im using what i got till it breaks...got extended warranty and i think controllers are covered?
@WesEds
Absolutely! It's a lovely shade of red though but i really would like a green one.
Looks nice and very Mario red.
Are we getting Mario Odyssey, 4K 60fps etc.
@Grot
Thanks for the inside tip off.
Though say one Halo game for Mario Odyssey would be a good deal.
@Grot
I prefer the Xbox button layout as it is the same as Sony. When playing on the Switch with a pro controller it drives me nuts with the buttons being different.
Even Sony in Japan have gone the Western way for PS5.
I’ve been playing my Xbox so much recently that I accidentally hit square when prompted to press x on my PS5 today 😅
These are really cool colors. It's weird though. For Nintendo i like my bright colors. For ps4 i had a blue that looked a lot like the shock blue shade. I like the white and black ps5 controller. But for series of X, the matte stealth black is just so darned sleek and sexy it's hard to really want anything else. It's just so.... Sleek. Arguably it needed monochrome button caps to be a truly blacked out race car, but i much prefer the colored caps for memory association (miss that on ps5.)
@everynowandben lol, i know, why do "cross" and x have to look the same?
@Reverandjames Because if it were black could be confused as a Virtual Boy accessory.
Edit: also, Nintendos are red. PlayStations are blue. Xbox controllers should be purchasable in green. Why can't you?
@Dezzy70 it's a weird history. Nintendo is really the "right" layout since the whole controller design is really theirs to begin with. Sony copied them correctly in Japan and then inexplicably reversed it in the west for some convoluted reason that x means cancel here. Sega did what Nintendont because Sega and reversed the buttons on Dreamcast. And Microsoft just copied Sega and or PlayStation. Probably because of that buyout attempt where awakawa and Lincoln laughed at them for an hour.
It drives Phil crazy too. I remember the story where he was playing Lucky's tale at the switch both and kept dying until he realizing he was interesting the buttons and jabbed that their buttons are mapped wrong.
Sony reversed it in Japan with no ps5 because a giant middle finger aimed at Tokyo is their new corporate logo.
Don’t like the white underneath
Another Not a fan of the white back on this or shock blue. For this reason I went white for my additional controller and it has become the default choice, looks sleek.
Must say I love my shock blue, using it in of a lot and they are more comfortable, and more practical with the non-slip areas.
Don't need a red one, & I'd have bought blue anyway
