If you've been eager for a Halo Infinite update, the first "Inside Infinite" of 2021 is now live on Halo Waypoint.
Following on from his recent update via Reddit, 343's Halo community director, Brian Jarred, took a brief moment to address Halo Infinite news updates at the beginning of the latest post - stating how these specific updates wouldn't be the place for "huge announcements", gameplay trailers and more.
These perhaps more exciting announcements will be made "in due time" and more likely as "large industry events" take the spotlight:
"While we will always strive to inform and delight our community with these updates, this isn’t the place for huge announcements, specific feature deep-dives, or gameplay trailers. We know you’re all very eager for updated campaign gameplay, a proper multiplayer reveal, public flighting, and many other specific aspects of Halo Infinite. That will all come in due time as large industry events take center stage and the Halo marketing machine kicks into high gear."
Although the team isn't "committing" to any specific dates just yet, the big months for 343 could potentially be around June, July and August, and it'll likely be more than just Waypoint blogs - with plans to ready a "strong roadmap post-Summer" in the lead-up to Halo Infinite's launch.
"June, July, and August typically deliver big moments across the entire games industry so while we’re not committing to anything specific yet, we expect to have more than just Waypoint blogs this Summer. And in full transparency, we’re still actively working across the teams to make sure we have a strong roadmap post-Summer leading up to launch this Fall. Until then, we look forward to going on this monthly journey together and are grateful for your continued support."

In the interim maybe we'll get an anouncement for them bringing back FOV settings with 120hz on Master Chief Collection.
Removed it for no good reason and gave a hand wave to try to win people over. The newest game that this was an option for is still almost 10 years old.
If my potato of a PC can run it without issue on the same settings, there's zero reason my Series X can't as well.
So, E3 time then (or whatever will likely replace E3 again this year).
Saving it for E3 or online equivalent.
No shock there since this is the big release for Xbox for 2021 now.
Well whatever they do and when make it good Microsoft. Sometimes I feel Xbox don’t show off their games the right way. Take Hivebusters, some of the graphics like the lighting real-time reflection off gears suits onto flowers etc was really well done and showed some series x potential etc.
The game went buy with no advertisements etc.
They should have packaged the game up like Sony did with Spider-Man Miles and made a selling point of it. Instead it got no publicity at all really.
Microsoft PR need to box clever.
@Dezzy70 yeah that games a little bit of a showcase for the Series X, it was a clear step up graphically from 5. Its short but sweet.
As for Halo it’s done when it’s done. I recently finished Halo 5 and it was fine, I thought the last few levels in particular looked great after a drab first half. We’ll see how infinite turns out, not setting my expectations sky high.
@Fenbops
Also by fall 2021 there should plenty of consoles and Sony and Nintendo will be pushing their own big in house AAA games, so Xbox really need to make this the perfect Halo that also wows on series x. This fall is when the competition really begins and will possible set the console sales trend moving forward into 2022 and beyond.
Finally some actual shop stock for click and collect, well done Smiths toys UK, this helps with the scalping and bots online doing delivery orders only. It’s was series s in a good few stores.
They all gone now, but yesterday they were there.
Also Argos had few in store series x, but all gone now. This is the way forward, click and collect in store. I did notice also the consoles are up for a bit longer and the sites did not crash.
