Open air combat game The Falconeer has received its first free content update for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, featuring a bunch of new content including new locations and overhauled gameplay.
The new locations include the Cartohom Cartographers guild and Batis Wreckdiver company, each offering exploration missions - with the latter taking you below the waves to recover wrecks and discover ancient treasures of the deep.
In addition to this, AI and combat have also received an overhaul, "making dogfights smoother and more spread out", and the game has introduced new types of enemy behaviours such as rolling.
Here's what developer Tomas Sala had to say about the update:
“The Kraken update offers more early game content, requested by the community and press, and I’m delighted to take players into the depths of The Great Ursee and open up even more of the world with exploration missions. I’ve got so many ideas I want to implement in 2021, the roadmap is full to the brim with new and exciting content.”
The free Kraken update is available now for The Falconeer on all Xbox platforms, and you can expect to see further DLC updates throughout 2021 "that will significantly expand the scale and depth of The Falconeer."

Still interested in this, hearing that there are more updates coming makes want to wait a bit before checking it out. Think this would be a good candidate for gamepass. I am looking forward to the 120hz mode
