Thanks for the Christmas present, Blizzard! The studio has announced that popular multiplayer game Overwatch has been made completely free to play on Xbox for the holidays, available until January 4th.
You can access the game via a special free trial on the Microsoft Store page for Overwatch Origins Edition, which gives you full access to all of the maps and heroes across a variety of game modes.
Better yet, Overwatch Legendary Edition is currently on sale as part of the massive Xbox Countdown Sale at 67% off, and if you decide to buy it, any experience or items you earn during the free trial will transfer over.
Take your place in the world of Overwatch and choose your hero from a diverse cast of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities. Bend time, defy physics, and unleash a dizzying array of extraordinary powers and weapons. Engage your enemies in iconic locations from around the globe in the ultimate team-based shooter.

Until they allow cross progression of the ability to merge all my accounts I’m not interested in playing this on a third console.
This game needs some serious new content or atleast hurry with overwatch 2, I play 5-6 matches a month and games now take a minute or more to get into, finally dying off?
@UltimateOtaku91 it's even worse since they introduced role queue. If you want to play damage, you either wait up to 15 minutes(!) to get into a match or you get put into a match via backfill and the match ends as soon as you enter it.
@VenomousAlbino yeah that's why I avoid competitive lately, I just play arcade to get my 3 free weekly chests and a couple more chests by leveling up during that time.
The last 3-4 years have had the exact same events every season
