Epic Games has announced today that the ultra-popular free-to-play battle royale Fortnite is getting a monthly subscription option next week, launching on December 2nd with the arrival of Chapter 2 – Season 5.
Named "Fortnite Crew", this service will provide fans with the current season's Battle Pass, 1000 V-Bucks every month and an exclusive monthly outfit bundle for £9.99 in the UK and $11.99 in the US.
Here's a taste of what you'll get if you subscribe to the service at launch this December:
"December’s Crew Pack stars the empress of the cosmos Galaxia plus Style, accompanied by her Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling. Hold the world in your hands… or in this case, your back!"

I don't know why but I find this hilarious.
They sure are milking this for everything it's got. I'm not the target market clearly as i think it's dumb to drop that much money on a F2P game but I'm sure they will make money on this , although for humanities sake i hope it's way under their forecasts.
So so glad my kids grew out of this. Though I'm sure they'll continue the money train moving along for the foreseeable future
I don't play it but it will cost you more on Xbox considering you need gold for 'free' to play games on top of a subscription.
I wouldn't be surprised if this game starts dying down before long, it's got most of it's popularity from the same tween aged audience for a long time now and they are known to be a very fickle age group where they grow up fast, lose interest in old things, and the new generation of kids that replace them aren't into the same things they were.
