If you were thinking about ordering a custom Xbox controller later this year, you haven't got long to do so! Microsoft has revealed that the Xbox Design Lab program is temporarily going offline beginning October 14th.
The company says Design Lab is "preparing for its next evolution", and will be disappearing until 2021 "so that we can bring you some updates." No more information has been revealed for now, but we're assuming this is due to the service being enhanced to include the new Xbox Wireless Controller in the future.
You've still got a few more weeks to order a custom controller if you want one though, and keep in mind that although it won't be based on the new controller, it'll still be compatible with the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
Are you planning to pick up a Design Lab controller, or are you going to wait it out until 2021? Let us know below.

Great news! One of the best Xbox feature is getting a new gen upgrade as well.
I'd like to design a pair of hands with Xbox functionality built in. Transplant them onto my forearms and then I wouldn't even need to use a controller for next gen.
I assume this is what they mean by "next evolution".
Hopefully Microsoft makes a upgraded elite controller, and allows customization on that
@Shujja33 I was going to post that. Would def order a custom one when this one stops working.
I might use this site after they update to Series X controllers.
This has always been a really cool idea that I just never seemed to use.
I haven't used a regular Controller since the Elite (V1) came out and will be using my V2 on my Series X.
