We've seen the new white controller that comes with the Xbox Series S in leaks and the recently released promotional materials, but now the Xbox Twitter account has gone to the extent of giving it a standalone announcement.
In case you missed this detail in the main announcement, it's officially known as the Robot White controller, and just like the one that comes with the Xbox Series X - will be enhanced for next-gen and compatible with the current generation.
If you don't plan on picking up an Xbox Series S but are still interested in this particular controller, you'll be able to purchase it separately this holiday season. Like all next-gen Xbox controllers, it includes improved ergonomics, a hybrid D-pad, textured grip on the triggers, bumpers and back, and a new dedicated Share button.

No surprise here. I’m actually kind of shocked that you can’t buy these already with the shortage of controllers out there in retail right now.
Beautiful. Can't wait to get one.
Looks nice, I prefer the black controller though..
I hope they release them soon because I need a second controller and everywhere’s out of stock, I refuse to pay £60 for a preowned that’s worn, clogged with dirt and smell of smoke
@WesEds I was extremely lucky and got a like new condition gears crimson omen controller on eBay for £45
I was also looking for an Xbox controller for xCloud because mine, the original Elite controller, doesn't have Bluetooth and I couldn't find any. I'll just wait until Series X release and get the console and controller bundle.
@Royalblues The Elite controller is the best controller I've ever used. I also want to feel the new shape, triggers and D-pad of the Series controller, it has a lot of subtle improvements.
Black and white controllers for P1 and P2 🤩 kind of the opposite tone you get with Nintendo. Nice marketing and positioning strategy for the more "adult" games they're hyping. Really like the white controller
