Microsoft and developer Fatshark revealed as part of yesterday's Xbox Games Showcase that first-person, co-op focused shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming to Xbox Series X in 2021.
The developer says it will be sticking with the familiar Warhammer: Vermintide formula for Darktide, featuring 4 player co-op first-person action in a rich, established universe with lashings of attention to detail.
It also revealed that it will be delivering on the same brutal melee combat that’s easy to pick up, yet hard to master, as well as improving ranged gameplay to "really offer players diverse choices and gameplay styles through a more hybrid combat experience."
From the developers of the best-selling and award-winning franchise Vermintide, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a visceral 4-player co-op action game set in the hive city of Tertium. Fight together with your friends against hordes of enemies in this new Warhammer: 40,000 experience.

Love both vermintide games and a huge 40k fan. Really looking forward to this.
The amount of pushsquare fangirls that got triggered and had sleepless night yesterday was just astounding if you checked the livestream, post event poll-hijack, comment spams in the videos. The event was 95% of what I wanted to see from Xbox - ending the narrative of “xBoX hAS n0 gaMEs” in fact lot of them were exclusives to Xbox Series X. If you honestly compare ps5 and xbox upcoming first-party lineup...xbox clearly wins by a large margin in terms of new AAA IPs, diversity of games, pro-consumer initiatives (gamepass, absolutely free upgrades like Ori 120fps, Gears 5, FH4), good stories and gameplay, ultra detailed graphics in high resolution and framerates.
Love playing Warhammer games. Some are good, some are bad but there is always something special about Warhammer.
