July has almost come and gone, and while it's been a very busy month for Xbox events and promotions in general, there's been one notable absentee - the Xbox Summer Sale.
Looking back over the past few years, the Summer Sale (also known as the Ultimate Game Sale) has either begun or run through July on a consistent basis, so it seems strange that it hasn't shown up so far.
- Xbox Summer Sale 2019: July 16 - July 29
- Xbox Summer Sale 2018: July 19 - July 30
- Xbox Summer Sale 2017: June 30 - July 10
- Xbox Summer Sale 2016: July 5 - July 11
There is one big indication that might begin soon, however - this week's Xbox Sale features far less deals than usual, and is mainly taken up by a Simulator Sale, rather than lots of Spotlight or Deals with Gold offers.
We're guessing it might begin over the next few days, then, but what do you think? Is the Summer Sale imminent, or could we be waiting a little while yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Hope its coming on upcoming days
One big sale that I can nab Control and then I am probably done on this gen's games in terms of what I own. it is a huge backlog still.
Hopefully soon, not really much I wish to pick up but a few really good deals could tempt me...
Not really looking to buy any more games digital, I got a backlog that'll last me years..
There is always the next week.
Please no. I own all three consoles and I can't handle any more.
As it wasn't in line with the July Xbox event, I'd guess it'll be part of the August Xbox event when we finally start getting prices and release dates.
