Update: Microsoft has issued a statement to GameSpot, refraining from confirming a November release date for now:
"We're excited to launch Xbox Series X, which will set a new bar for power, speed and compatibility when it launches Holiday 2020, alongside Halo Infinite. We have nothing further to share at this time."
Original story: Microsoft has seemingly confirmed today that the Xbox Series X is currently on track for a November launch. This was apparently revealed in an earnings call by Microsoft CFO Amy Hood.
The Bloomberg reporter who asked the question shared Hood's response on Twitter, later clarifying that she specifically asked whether the "new console" would be coming in the "November holidays."
We're still on the lookout for further confirmation, but based on the following tweets, it certainly appears as though the system is on its way somewhere in the month of November as expected.
What do you make of this? Do you think the Series X is coming in November? Share your thoughts below.

Not surprised, this was the time frame I was actually expecting. Not too long of a wait. I am really excited to see what they are going to announce at tomorrow's event. Cant wait!!!
Given Yakuza Like a Dragon release date was announced today to be November 13th, this is to be expected as it was announced in the May Inside Xbox that the game is a Series X launch title.
November was expected, it's the typical new Xbox month.
November was expected for both consoles
Would have liked a surprise September as the one x is now discontinued, with Halo and whatever else ready for release.
Always feel September is a better release month than November.
Taking this with skepticism given how it was asked. The CFO could easily had understood “is it on track to be on the market by then” and the answer to that being yes could mean any release window from tomorrow till US Thanksgiving day..
@Tharsman or... Yes it's on track to, like I've said one thousand times... Next question?
@Dezzy70 Yes, they discontinued Xbox One X but they were sold out before it was expected because Xbox consoles sales increased in 2020 significantly (like I predicted but I'm no genius). That's why it's not available now. Note that a new Xbox console could be released before November as well.
Plot twist: the "new console" is the lockhart.
@Richnj Xbox One Z

I checked, they're sold out.
Well; it seems there was a more firm leak on the Xbox store listing of Like a Dragon. That fame was already said to be available on day one on Series X, and the listing claimed it’s out Nov 12.
Of course it’s November. That’s when Xbox Consoles launch (e.g.OG, 360, XB1, even XB1X).
Surely we know it’s going to be 17th of November because that’s when AC Valhalla (a release title) is being released
This is the month everyone seemed to be mentioning, it makes sense....
No shock here as every Xbox comes out in November.
