Konami has announced that it won't be renewing the licenses for Italian giants Inter Milan and AC Milan for the eFootball PES series going forward. However, the licenses will remain in eFootball PES 2020.
The company says that both teams have been strong advocates for the eFootball PES series, and that it wishes them all the best in the future. It remains to be seen whether EA's FIFA franchise will snap up the licenses as a result, but it seems an inevitability.
Konami has noted that it will "continue to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new relationships in order to provide the best possible eFootball experience," and to "wait for future announcements for each title" in regards to license news for upcoming Konami football games. eFootball PES 2021 has not been announced as of yet, so it remains to be seen when we'll hear more.
Are you disappointed PES is losing these licenses, or aren't you bothered? Let us know below.
